Luo Ling awakened the Raven Shadow Puppet, manipulated events around Yu Xiaogang, and became Bibi Dong’s disciple. After proving himself against Spirit Hall’s Golden Generation, he was named Holy Son and continued researching his growing Soul Body Thread abilities.

• Luo Ling refused Yu Xiaogang as a teacher, but Zhang Lang lured him into the forest and left him dying until his Raven Shadow Puppet awakened, killed Zhang Lang, and healed him.
• Luo Ling crippled Yu Xiaogang, staged him with Zhang Lang’s corpse, and later met Xiao Wu, whom he warned about Tang San and persuaded to distrust him.
• Luo Ling entered the Soul Hunting Forest, helped Hu Liena defeat a Crimson Flame Lion, and revealed his unusual power to Bibi Dong, who accepted him as her disciple.
• Bibi Dong helped Luo Ling obtain a Netherworld Bird Soul Ring, which fused with his Martial Souls and granted him Phantom Stealth.

Luo Ling strengthened his abilities, discovered the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, and secured Dugu Bo’s allegiance and a secret agreement with the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. The arc left him back in Spirit City with Ning Rongrong and training for his hundredth consecutive Great Soul Arena victory.

• Luo Ling tested his Soul Body Thread on prisoners, reached level 20, and confirmed that it could search their memories.
• Luo Ling joined Bibi Dong’s group in the Star Dou Great Forest, obtained a two-thousand-year Ghost Face Terror Scorpion Soul Ring, and witnessed his Martial Soul resonate with Qian Renxue’s Six-Winged Angel.
• Luo Ling absorbed the black aura affecting Bibi Dong’s Soul Body Thread, drawing the attention of the Rakshasa God, and later trained with Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan.
• Luo Ling found the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with Bibi Dong, diagnosed Dugu Bo’s poison, and persuaded him to join Spirit Hall in exchange for knowledge about refining his Toxins.

Luo Ling left Spirit City for Suotuo City, where he became entangled with Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, and Shrek Academy while concealing his identity as the Mystic Mage. After confronting Dai Mubai and revealing Tang San’s connection to Tang Hao, Luo Ling prepared to attack Tang Hao with help from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.

• After defeating the Fighting Dragon Team and earning his Diamond Spirit Fight Badge, Luo Ling left Spirit City with Ning Rongrong and traveled toward Suotuo City.
• Luo Ling met Zhu Zhuqing in Suotuo City, helped her question her plans to attend Shrek Academy, and defended her from Dai Mubai when he confronted them at the Rose Hotel.
• Luo Ling and Zhu Zhuqing went to Shrek Academy with Tang San and Xiao Wu, where Ning Rongrong joined them and Luo Ling helped the candidates pass Zhao Wuji’s entrance test.
• Luo Ling revealed to Xiao Wu that he knew she was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and warned her about Tang Hao, but left her to decide whether to stay at Shrek Academy.
• At the Great Soul Arena, Luo Ling fought as the Mystic Mage and defeated Hua LeiSi’s Dark Gold Bear Soul Master with the Raven Shadow Puppet.
• After Dai Mubai threatened Ning Rongrong and attacked Luo Ling, Luo Ling wounded him and severed his right hand before Flender stopped him from delivering a final strike.
• Luo Ling urged Zhu Zhuqing to rely on Ning Rongrong and warned Xiao Wu that Oscar’s trip to the Star Dou Great Forest could let her leave Shrek Academy.

Luo Ling stole the Blue Silver Emperor, gained the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger’s powers, and watched Yu Xiaogang’s rituals bring him both advancement and suffering. After Dai Mubai’s betrayal ended in his death at Tang Hao’s hands, the Shrek students began competing in the Great Soul Arena.

• Luo Ling stole the Blue Silver Emperor and its Soul Bone from Tang Hao’s cave, then escaped Tang Hao’s attack.
• Luo Ling gave Yu Xiaogang the Blood Devil Ritual, which broke Yu Xiaogang’s level 29 bottleneck and raised Luo Ling to level 50.
• Luo Ling warned Tang San about the dangers of his Eight Spider Lances, then demonstrated their vulnerability and watched Tang San secretly use them to absorb a Soul Beast corpse.
• Luo Ling and Ghost Douluo helped defeat a Dark Demon Evil God Tiger, and Luo Ling absorbed its Soul Ring, gained an External Soul Bone, and began the Evil God Nine Trials.
• Yu Xiaogang’s toxic third Soul Skill badly injured him, but he insisted his theory was sound and returned to Shrek Academy.
