Only after fleeing in here did Obito finally catch his breath.

He had nearly lost his life.

The Kamui Dimension was his eternal safe haven. As long as he returned here, his heart could settle.

He opened his mask. The spare Three-Tomoe Sharingan had already turned grayish-white and was completely ruined.

Obito sat on the stone platform, his expression inscrutable as he pondered.

Why did the Uchiha Clan know about Kamui's weakness?

Had this all been a trap Uchiha Itachi had specifically set for him?

"Whose Amaterasu was that? That person wasn't Itachi either."

When Amaterasu had engulfed his body, Obito had had no time to distinguish who his opponent was.

He had only caught a glimpse of Senyo from the corner of his eye.

Amaterasu, this Mangekyo ocular technique, had appeared more than once in Uchiha clan history.

Obito was not entirely ignorant of this technique.

But with Itachi possibly possessing the Mangekyo, another Mangekyo wielder had appeared within the Uchiha Clan.

More importantly, that person knew he became tangible when attacking.

That alone put an end to Obito treating the Uchiha Clan as his personal backyard in the future.

The Uchiha did not even have a treasury. Going there to wander around now was completely not worth the risk.

After all, another Amaterasu would cost him his life.

He just did not know whether the Uchiha Clan and Konoha would truly come to blows tonight.

These unknowns made Obito feel extremely passive.

Besides that, there was one most important matter.

Karatachi Yagura, the Three-Tails Jinchuriki, had broken free of his control.

This meant the Land of Water could no longer provide the Akatsuki Organization with money and supplies.

Previously, Obito had relied on those things to maintain a passable partnership with Nagato and Konan.

But now that those resources were gone, there would probably be some changes going forward.

Moreover, he had no idea what Karatachi Yagura would do next.

However, Hidden Mist Village was too far away. He would first see what happened on Konoha's side.

Having made up his mind, Obito moved swiftly through the Kamui Dimension.

No matter what, he had to go back and replace his Sharingan first.

There were not many Sharingan left, though.

Uchiha Clan Compound.

After the Great Elder, Senyo, Fugaku, and the others who had retreated back settled the clan members down, they summoned all the leadership for a meeting.

This included Itachi, Mayumi, Kiyohiko, Yusuke, and Rinto.

The Second Elder, the Third Elder, their supporters Seiji and Tomohisa, as well as Fugaku's supporters Yusuke and Ryōji, were also present.

These were now all of the Uchiha Clan's upper echelon.

Other than the three elders, most of them were young.

Because the Uchiha Clan gained power through strength, its casualty rate had always been extremely high.

The Great Elder, Second Elder, and Third Elder had all fought their way into their positions.

It was only because the Second and Third Elders had suffered overly severe injuries that they had withdrawn from active combat.

Over the years, the Great Ninja War had claimed a great many Uchiha clan members, which was why the two elders had advocated peaceful coexistence with Konoha.

Although the battle against the Root organization had been a complete victory, with virtually no casualties within the clan, it had also made the two elders realize that Konoha had never abandoned its intention to destroy the Uchiha.

Great Elder Uchiha Shihu had thoroughly berated Konoha, and after returning, while Fugaku arranged for the other clan members to leave, he had berated the two of them again.

Now, the Second and Third Elders did not dare utter a single word.

"Senyo, you explain."

Seeing that the Second and Third Elders had finally quieted down, the Great Elder handed the floor to Senyo.

"Although we Uchiha have survived this calamity, this is only the beginning."

"Although I used this opportunity to split Konoha's upper ranks from the other ninja clans, ensuring that the other clans will not become their lackeys."

"The Third Hokage's strength is not limited to Konoha's Anbu."

"That is also why I did not take this opportunity to launch an Armed Coup."

Everyone's expressions changed somewhat. Fugaku asked, "Senyo, are you saying that the Third Hokage still has hidden strength?"

Senyo nodded. "Everyone knows that after the Fourth Hokage and his wife died in battle, the Third Hokage took their inheritance."

Seeing that no one seemed to take it seriously, Senyo added, "Most of you do not know how much the Fourth Hokage's wife inherited."

"Kushina alone inherited all of Uzumaki Mito's estate."

"Conservatively speaking, it was worth at least several streets."

"That inheritance would be enough for the Sarutobi to train over a thousand ninja."

Senyo considered his words before giving this relatively conservative estimate.

But in truth, ten years later in the original timeline—during the Fourth Shinobi World War—there had been a full three thousand members of the Sarutobi Force.

Although it was ten years earlier now, their numbers were likely still substantial.

Everyone present drew in a sharp breath. The entire Uchiha clan only had a little over a thousand people, and that included ordinary civilians.

Due to years of warfare, the number of those capable of fighting had suffered severe losses.

After the Third Shinobi War, there were only a little over four hundred left, with fewer than a hundred who had awakened their eyes.

If what Senyo said was true, then Konoha really would not be so easy to take down.

Still, everyone was deeply curious about where Senyo had gotten his information.

However, Senyo did not explain. Instead, he said to Fugaku, "The Clan Head's Wife has some acquaintance with Kushina. Perhaps she knows some of the specifics."

Fugaku froze for a moment. He truly had not thought of that.

"I understand. I'll go confirm it with Mikoto."

Senyo continued, "The reason we Uchiha have never gained an advantage in political struggles..."

"Is because most people have a flawed understanding of the Third Hokage."

He pointed at Itachi.

"Itachi, you have served in the Anbu for quite some time. Tell me, if anything happens in Konoha, would the Third Hokage know about it?"

Itachi replied calmly, "Every day, the Anbu knows exactly which direction each clansman goes and what they do."

"As long as someone leaves the clan compound, the Anbu can investigate anything that happens to them in Konoha."

Senyo pressed his hand down. "What I am trying to say is not how severely our clansmen are monitored. I am emphasizing that the Anbu's surveillance covers all of Konoha."

"Under such circumstances, everything Danzo does is tacitly approved by the Third Hokage."

"Many things are even inconvenient for the Third Hokage to handle personally, so he has Danzo step forward. Danzo is the one who does the dirty work."

What Senyo had said was common knowledge among the upper ranks of the other ninja clans.

But they were Uchiha. The surname alone came with an IQ of minus fifty, so Senyo's explanation had been necessary.

Sure enough, once he finished, several clansmen wore looks of sudden realization.

Senyo sighed. The Uchiha were all quite strong.

Their brains... their brains were somewhat lacking.
