Background / History

Zhiwei is a young rabbit demon from the Jade Rabbit Clan of the Green Rain Plains. Her clan discovered a small vein of Moon Essence Stone, but Black Fiend Ridge learned of it and attacked. Her elders fought to give her time to escape with several inherited Moon Essence Stone Cores. 14

While fleeing, she encountered Mo Xing and initially mistook his concealed bamboo form for a threat. Once she recognized that he meant no harm, she introduced herself and explained her clan’s destruction. 14

Black Fiend Ridge’s three wolf-demon pursuers soon caught up. Mo Xing hid Zhiwei underground using her earth-escape technique, hindered the pursuers with formations and Soul-Devouring Dark Light, then led them toward a chaotic battlefield to escape. 14 15

In gratitude, Zhiwei gave Mo Xing a Moon Essence Stone Core. The core strengthened the resonance between Mo Xing’s Bedrock Rune and the Kunlun Mirror, making its northwestern guidance clearer. Unable to return home and resolved to someday avenge her people, Zhiwei accepted Mo Xing’s invitation to travel northwest with him. 15

Zhiwei is a small rabbit demon girl whose rabbit ears visibly react to danger and alertness. She carries short twin blades and a storage bag containing her clan’s Moon Essence Stone Cores. 14 16

Personality

Zhiwei is naturally simple-hearted and readily lowers her guard once she recognizes sincerity in others. Her early fear and vulnerability stem from the destruction of her clan and the continued pursuit by Black Fiend Ridge. 14

Despite her fear, she does not abandon her resolve. She chooses to continue cultivating and seek revenge for her people, fights when threatened at Jue Sha Ridge, and perseveres through the Ascension Conference’s Dao-heart trial. 15 16 28

She is deeply loyal to Mo Xing, follows his judgment in unfamiliar dangers, and repeatedly guards or assists him during critical moments. 17 18 22

Escape from Black Fiend Ridge

Zhiwei’s flight from the destruction of the Jade Rabbit Clan brings her into contact with Mo Xing. Her possession of Moon Essence Stone Cores makes her the target of Black Fiend Ridge’s wolf demons and becomes the immediate cause of their shared escape. 14 15

Northwest Journey

After joining Mo Xing, Zhiwei contributes as an underground scout and combat assistant. She helps activate an ancient teleportation array, fights at Jue Sha Ridge, and accompanies him through the Jade Clarity Retreat and Shadowed Marsh. 16 17 18 20 21

Wall of Sighs

Before the pair reaches the Wall of Sighs, Zhiwei stands guard while Mo Xing refines three Meteor Cores and breaks through to late-stage Earth Immortal. She later remains behind while Mo Xing confronts dangers at the breach. 22 23

Ascension Conference

Zhiwei accompanies Mo Xing to Gathering Immortal Town and participates in the Jade Clarity Sect’s Ascension Conference. She passes the “Questioning the Dao Heart” trial and receives an Affinity Mirror evaluation of Moon Essence Spirit Body, Grade B-Upper Aptitude, and Acceptable affinity. 28 29

During the “Derive Myriad Phenomena” trial, she manifests a moonlit grassland populated by jade rabbits. 29
