Sheng Ning was just as bewildered as her. Naturia's two big brothers were incredibly powerful under certain circumstances, but she had never heard of Naturia having a low-level monster like this.
"Any responses?" Youye was not surprised at all as he looked at the mentally frozen Ouyang Yanyan. Forget her—even when he had practiced against Munin that afternoon, she had not understood it either. It was perfectly normal that Yanyan did not understand.
"No." Ouyang Yanyan shook her head.
"Then resolve the effects."
"Chain Link 5, Blazing Flame's effect: Great Flame Demon was destroyed, and the top two cards of your deck were banished; Chain Link 4, Camellia's effect summoned Sunflower from the Graveyard; Chain Link 3, Camellia sent Sacred Tree to the Graveyard."
After saying that, Youye looked at Ouyang Yanyan. Seeing the field before her, she chose the Snake-Eye Ash in the Spell/Trap Zone for Chain Link 2 and Special Summoned it, rather than choosing to summon Flamberge Dragon.
That was a simple play, and Youye silently nodded. Although Ouyang Yanyan was constrained by her cards, at least she knew not to blindly summon monsters with high ATK. She wanted to extend and build a board, though the outcome would be the same regardless.
Then Chain Link 1, Deception's effect resolved, banishing the top card of Ouyang Yanyan's deck.
Once the effects had finished resolving, Youye spoke again.
"Just now, I activated the Quick-Play Spell Deception. Its effect activates again. Chain Link 2, Sacred Tree's Graveyard effect activates, adding a Naturia card from the deck to my hand."
"I chain Snake-Eye Ash's on-summon effect as Chain Link 3." As soon as Youye finished speaking, Ouyang Yanyan immediately followed up with her effect, while beginning to think through her next plays.
The corner of Youye's mouth rose slightly as he spoke again. "I chain Sunflower's effect as Chain Link 4, Tributing it and one Naturia monster to negate and destroy it. "Senior, Naturia is this strong? It generates advantage and has disruption. Is it really a weak archetype?" Ouyang Yanyan asked in confusion.
"Naturia's small engine is strong, but its main engine isn't. Remember this: some archetypes might look weak, but if you take out a certain part and use it alone, it can be extremely powerful." Youye reminded her. At the same time, he told her that Naturia really was not strong. Its main engine was simply too bloated. He would not be playing pure Naturia anyway, so there was no harm in saying it.

"I tune the Level 4 Tuner Camellia on my field with the Level 2 Sunflower. Synchro Summon, Level 6 Tuner Monster, Coral Dragon!"
"Senior summoned a monster, so my Snake-Eye Temple's effect lets me Special Summon Snake-Eye Flamberge Dragon from the Spell/Trap Zone!" Seeing Youye summon a monster, Ouyang Yanyan's face was full of helplessness. After the chain resolved, Youye revealed a hint of a wicked smile and continued, "Then you know the drill. Deception as Chain Link 1, Camellia as Chain Links 2 and 3."
Ouyang Yanyan: I kind of don't want to know.
The effects resolved in reverse order. Chain Link 3, Camellia summoned Sunflower from the Graveyard; Chain Link 2, Camellia sent Sacred Tree to the Graveyard; Chain Link 1, Deception banished the top card of Ouyang Yanyan's deck.
"You have no response, so I'll just say it. Sacred Tree's effect adds Camellia from my deck to my hand."
"Rage Storm Special Summons Hugin Geri, and Deception banishes one card. Then I tune the Level 6 Tuner with the Level 4 Hugin. Synchro Summon, Level 10 Baronne de Fleur."
As Baronne de Fleur appeared, Youye used Blazing Flame to destroy Ouyang Yanyan's Flamberge Dragon, then used Spring to return two and draw two. She simply gave up struggling and did not even activate Flamberge Dragon's effect. There was no point in using it anyway; Sunflower was waiting.
Finally, Baronne de Fleur destroyed the Field Spell, locking her down. When it became Ouyang Yanyan's turn, she directly declared the end of her turn. She had no room to move—two openly revealed Monster Effect Negations and one Triple Negate. How was she supposed to get through that?
When Youye's turn came around, he Normal Summoned Camellia to add enough ATK, entered the Battle Phase, and finished off Ouyang Yanyan. The duel ended.
Once the duel was over, Ouyang Yanyan looked at Youye with anticipation. A woman's intuition told her that Youye would change her original fate.
Sensing her gaze, Youye pondered briefly before speaking.
"We'll sign the contract later. First, take Obelisk the Tormentor out of your Main Deck. Then get your hands on the Diabellestar archetype. Once you have it, come report to me and sign the Duel Contract. If you can't get it, go wherever you want."
"Okay!" Ouyang Yanyan nodded, her eyes brimming with excitement. What Youye meant by that was that there was no problem—she could form a Duel Contract with him.
As for the requirement? As a gifted duelist whom Obelisk the Tormentor was willing to give cards to, obtaining the Diabellestar archetype related to her own cards was naturally not difficult. It was only that after acquiring Obelisk, she had been obsessed with the God's power. Until recently, as her opponents grew stronger and Obelisk became increasingly insufficient, she had shifted her attention to the other two Egyptian God Cards, though she had not tried communicating with them.
Now that Youye had said this, why would she care about God Cards anymore? She would go back and communicate with Black Witch Diabellestar, strive to obtain the derivative Diabellestar archetype within a day or two, and then become Youye's servant!
