With a thought, Robert purchased a standard-issue Lasgun from the system shop.
Redito watched as Robert made a grasping motion through empty air. Then, a brand-new standard-issue Imperium Lasgun, complete with factory markings, appeared in his hand out of nowhere. A faint glow clung to its frame, as though it had only just condensed into existence.
Redito raised a mechanical hand to steady his head, letting out a low hum. Every logic circuit in his body devoted to thought seemed to begin shrieking and burning. The pressure in his hydraulic lines rapidly hit its limit, releasing a piercing hiss. This exceeded the bounds of all his knowledge. It was practically... a miracle!
Redito exerted all his strength to suppress his abnormal state, forcing his overloaded, trembling body back to normal. Once he had barely recovered, a tsunami-like thirst for knowledge, possessiveness, and a sliver of ambition buried deep within his heart surged forth.
This secret, the principles behind it... only he would know. Only he would be able to study it! Redito made up his mind. As for whether it had anything to do with the Warp? What in this universe had nothing to do with the Warp...? Even if it truly involved forbidden matters, Redito's thirst for knowledge would still drive him to ignore it.
Redito's synthesized voice carried unprecedented gravity. "From now on, whenever you do something like this, do it inside." As he spoke, he pointed toward the grand Holy Trinity Forge Workshop behind him.
Redito emphasized, "Especially after that Inquisitor from the Holy Hammer Chapter arrives with the Adeptus Arbites."
"An Inquisitor from the Holy Hammer Chapter?" Robert immediately turned
