After finishing his explanation, Archer set down the grav-chute model in his hand and swept his gaze over the eager Players before him. He asked evenly, "Did you all understand?"
At his words, the Players had no hesitation left. They all loudly replied, "Understood! Understood!"
"Yeah, Instructor, hurry up and start already! We can't wait!" one Player said, bouncing excitedly.
Archer's lips curved slightly, revealing a faint, imperceptible sneer. He casually picked out the Player who looked the most enthusiastic. "You. Repeat the key points I just covered."
The selected Player froze for a moment, the excitement on his face instantly stiffening. He stammered, "Uh... it was... the timing... for opening the chute... and... and the... direction control... uh..." His words came in fits and starts. Clearly, he had failed to grasp the important points, let alone repeat them accurately.
Archer sneered. He had known these people had not listened seriously. These Players probably thought that with the system's assistance, how hard could it be? If he were still in the military, he would have exploded on the spot before being forced to teach it all over again. But here...
He cut off the Player's embarrassment directly. "Fine. You pass. Go jump."
Hearing this unexpected "pass," the Players were naturally overjoyed. They failed to notice the deeper meaning behind Archer's words and rushed toward the edge, leaping without hesitation from the top of the hive city as though diving into an ocean of freedom.
Archer stood above them, staring down expressionlessly. The sight before him nearly made him laugh.
"AAAAAH, FUCK—" One Player fumbled wildly, but with the system's assistance, he still managed to deploy his grav-chute. However, he clearly had not mastered the controls. He spun through the air dozens of times like a top gone out of control.
