The Calamity Dragon "Tai" fell silent for a long time.
Winnie thought she should let it rest properly, so she walked toward the vesicle again.
"Deer Person, aren't you going to ask?"
"Huh?"
"If you don't ask, how am I supposed to tell you?"
Winnie followed along and asked, "What are the Invaders like? They must be pretty troublesome, right?"
She could more or less understand. Calamity Dragons were not good at communicating through conversation. When they made sounds, it was to warn enemies or deter prey, so their way of speaking always came off stiff and irritable. Rather than arrogance, it was more like they had no idea how to hold a normal conversation, and the frustration and feigned competence that showed because of it.
"Hmph. They're average. Just a bunch of trash that only survives because they have numbers."
The Calamity Dragon pretended not to care as it said, "One-on-one, they're all nothing but scraps."
Winnie didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
If these Invaders counted as very weak trash, then you lost to them... Normally, after a defeat, people exaggerated the enemy's strength a little to create an image of fighting valiantly against a powerful foe. It seemed the Calamity Dragon really was bad at communicating.
Winnie pretended not to notice. "Then what are they like? I don't think I've seen them yet."
"The Boundary Mountain region deep within the Boundary Wall is Calamity Dragon territory," Tai said. "We guard it to prevent outside trash from invading. Because we are the strongest, everything above Boundary Mountain is our territory."
Winnie was a little surprised.
"Isn't that something the Wall Bodies do?"
"Them?"
The Calamity Dragon's voice revealed undisguised contempt. "They're another kind of top predator inside the Boundary Wall, and they compete with us. Wall Bodies
