Background
Lu Yao begins as the unseen god guiding the Garlic Tribe through the Simulator. He awakens the Fisherman and Hunter heroes, directs the Prophet to ally with the Forest Tribe, and introduces practical technologies and resources—including garlic, salt trade, and the Bow and Arrow blessing—to strengthen his growing faith community 5 10.
As his divine domain expands, the Simulator increasingly affects his real-world body. Growth in Ghost City Sanilo's population enhances his sight, hearing, and smell; later, he develops physical strength and mobility far beyond ordinary human limits 29 683.
After acquiring greater influence and resources, Lu Yao leaves his former job and becomes an intelligence agent for Song Shiyi. He continues balancing real-world obligations with the administration, defense, and development of the Yao Clan Civilization 319.
Appearance
Lu Yao's ordinary appearance is not described in detail. When interacting directly with other worlds, he frequently operates through the Yellow Turban Warrior body Huang Jia.
- Huang Jia is a broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted, heavily built Yao Clan human with thick brows, fierce eyes, and a tangled beard 431 505.
- He usually wears a coarse-cloth short shirt and trousers, later paired with a leather jacket while in Great Qin 431 505.
- His intimidating appearance gives him natural deterrence among Yao Clan civilians and cultivators 432.
- In the Crawling Zone, Huang Jia is restricted to Level 99 and has greatly reduced attributes; outside it, the prototype can reach Level 199 with immense health, damage, defense, and Advanced Immunity 431 433.
Personality
Lu Yao is pragmatic, cautious, and more interested in observation and development than conquest. He prefers to build stable civilizations, improve material conditions, and let his followers pursue their own paths rather than demand constant sacrifice or blind obedience 523 937.
He is strongly risk-averse. Rather than personally entering unknown dangers without preparation, he typically sends Apostles, heroes, or other subordinates ahead to scout and gather information 75 1118. This caution does not prevent him from acting decisively when attacked or when his people are endangered; in those situations, he is willing to use overwhelming force 92 603.
Despite presenting himself as detached, Lu Yao shows consistent concern for individuals under his protection. He saves Bayan, arranges for Sekhmet to heal him, rewards loyal subordinates, and refuses unnecessary wars even when annexation would be profitable 523 714 892.
“I only wanted to be a passerby and onlooker among gods, living a peaceful and simple life. I opened fire to end wars, not to start them.” 523

Expansion and Foreign Gods
He expands beyond his original territory through diplomacy, military pressure, and exploration. The Donghai Clan surrenders to God Yao, while Lu Yao discovers the Black Abyss and uses it as a high-level development zone 56.

Kunlun Main God
Lu Yao enters Kunlun under the identity of the Queen Mother of the West, accepts the position of Main God, and begins restoring order within its fractured divine system 574. Trivia
- Lu Yao originally used a red-and-yellow plastic children's toy bow and soft rubber arrows to create the Bow and Arrow blessing 10.
- He considers himself a “conscientious employer” because he offers his followers concrete compensation rather than empty promises 761.
- He enjoys observing spectacle, testing powerful equipment, and occasionally using overwhelming force in combat, but dislikes prolonged conflict and troublesome obligations 523 1050 1118.
- He deliberately chose Huang Jia's threatening appearance because looking like the person most likely to start trouble makes others less likely to cause trouble for him 431.
