Growth Heaven had been in a good mood lately.

Though this sermon on Buddhism had not passed All Buddhas and allowed him to attain the Bodhisattva fruit, he had still received the approval of Medicine Buddha and Akshobhya Buddha, with no doubts or reproaches.

No fault was victory.

For most guardian deities who held the Arhat fruit, becoming a Bodhisattva was the goal they had to pursue.

Even Arhats were constantly transferred, becoming guardians and vajras of different duties. If they could not attain enlightenment for a long time, All Buddhas of Mount Sumeru would have them travel through the various realms to cultivate, broadening their horizons and understanding so they could illuminate the mind and see its nature, comprehending all beings.

But that had nothing to do with Growth Heaven.

He was one of the Four Heavenly Kings, a World Protector.

Guardian deities had two branches: Wisdom Protectors and World Protectors.

In simple terms, Wisdom Protectors guarded All Buddhas, while World Protectors were secular guardians.

Wisdom Protectors held higher status, and because they often accompanied the Buddhas, it was easier for them to attain the Bodhisattva fruit. Most Bodhisattvas today were either reincarnations of Buddhas or attendants flanking Buddhas, basically all promoted from Wisdom Protectors.

World Protectors were guardians of the secular worlds within the Buddhist kingdom. They were largely far from the center, mainly maintaining order in the mortal realm and guiding people toward the Buddha.

Buddhism's assessment of World Protectors was much more lenient, because they were naturally far from the core of Buddhism, making advancement more difficult.

Growth Heaven quite liked his [Jambudvipa].

Compared with the strictly hierarchical pure land of Mount Sumeru, the outer secular world was instead much more relaxed.
