Ever since its consciousness had first sprouted beneath the Magnetic Sea, the Cobalt Magnet King had known that it was destined to shoulder some kind of mission. There was no reason for it, but it simply believed this as a matter of course.
On the rolling black-gray sea, it drifted alone with the waves.
This went on for many years.
Only when the Cobalt Magnet King discovered a glowing floating island did that repetitive process change.
The island's radiance shot straight into the sky. The magnetic field it formed was like a giant sac, with magnetic force twisting and looping across the island. What was exposed above the sea was only a very small part; far more lay deep beneath the water.
The Cobalt Magnet King swam all the way toward that strange place, observing it cautiously.
The bottom of the island extended all the way down into the profound depths of the Magnetic Sea.
Even the Cobalt Magnet King could not enter places that were too deep. The deeper one went into the Magnetic Sea, the more berserk the magnetic force became. Those powers would not only disrupt and destroy magnetic fields, but also tear magnetic bodies into shattered gravel.
The Cobalt Magnet King could not understand how that floating island maintained its stability in such an extremely dangerous place beneath the sea.
This island of light had to possess some kind of mysterious power.
