No one but the students taking physical education class could truly understand the terror of fighting their classmates.
At a certain stage of physical education class training, they had begun facing Professor Breen together in groups.
They did so within Professor Breen's mental world. Since their bodies would not truly die or bleed, Professor Breen had never shown them any "mercy."
Every student in that class had experienced being "one-shot killed" by Professor Breen's spells.
Over time, this had gradually cultivated a merciless fighting style in the young wizards.
During the later encirclement and counter-encirclement training, they showed no restraint toward one another.
If Professor Breen had them conduct encirclement and counter-encirclement trials within the Forbidden Forest, Hermione was almost certain there would be casualties in the competition!
There was another particularly important point: during counter-encirclement training in Professor Breen's mental world, successful breakthroughs seemed to have occurred only once or twice, and only when the hunting side itself had fallen into disarray.
"What do you think, Hermione—"
Harry kept rubbing his fingers as he spoke nervously.
"Should we wear a couple more sets of competition clothes? That might give us a little more protection."
Having experienced the terror and despair of the second task, Harry had a deep impression of the competition clothes Professor Breen had provided.
"These competition clothes only have a one-time restraining effect against certain special magic, Harry. In most situations, the protection they offer is nowhere near as good as your Protego."
Hermione spoke, and from her tightly furrowed brow, Harry knew she was already considering how they could break out if they were surrounded in the forest.
"Can we use the Summoning Charm?"
Ron suddenly asked, his face pale.
"If we had flying broomsticks, wouldn't our chances of winning increase enormously?"
Harry's eyes suddenly
