"Harry's uncle and aunt. Home. Safe. What did that mean?"
Madam Bones looked at Amosta and Dumbledore in confusion, but then she quickly understood.
"If it is something I am not suited to know."
"Oh, it is not something that needs to be kept strictly secret, Amelia. At least, not anymore."
Dumbledore spoke in a weathered voice.
"Fourteen years ago, when Voldemort fell, I foresaw that one day he would return. And when that day came, he would regard Harry, who had thwarted his ambitions, as a thorn in his side.
"To protect Harry, I used an ancient magic. As long as Harry lived with a blood relative for part of each year, this magic could provide him with powerful protection, and Voldemort would be unable to harm him."
"Ah."
Madam Bones nodded in understanding and cast Dumbledore an admiring look.
"So that was it. Back then, when you arranged for Harry Potter to be raised by Muggles, it caused no small amount of controversy in the wizarding world. But, Amosta?"
Madam Bones turned her gaze toward Amosta.
"Why did you ask such a question?"
"That is precisely what I wish to know."
Dumbledore's silver beard stirred in the breeze as he looked solemnly at Amosta.
"As you both know—"
Amosta replied gravely.
"From what Kingsley overheard, Fudge clearly intended to do something to Harry. Given the current circumstances, that is hardly surprising.
"Several serious criminals escaped from Azkaban, and Fudge cannot give the wizarding world a reasonable explanation. Under such circumstances, he has few options left. Diverting attention is undoubtedly the most cost-effective approach."
"Diverting attention?"
Madam Bones frowned slightly.
"You think Cornelius will make Harry Potter the subject of a public spectacle, to shift people's attention away from the prison break?"
"You know what Cornelius intends to do,
