All Is Well

Amosta stood before the house belonging to Tonks's parents—the house where Remus and Tonks would soon live—and looked it over.

Most of the plants in the garden to the right of the house had withered with the season, save for several untrimmed Flutterby Bushes that remained as green as ever.

The shed on the right side of the house presumably held some of the farm machinery belonging to Tonks's Muggle-born father, Ted Tonks.

The broom shed was in there as well.

Remus and Tonks had already made their preparations.

A huge white tent trimmed with fringed lace had been set up in the broad space before the house.

Beautiful flower baskets stood beside every metal pole supporting the tent, and the poles themselves were entwined with golden and white flowers.

Inside the tent, a long purple carpet stretched all the way to the entrance of the house, while seating charts had already been affixed to the backs of rows upon rows of delicate golden chairs.

Amosta passed beneath the tent roof, where strings of golden balloons had been tied, and slowly approached the house.

Silver-bell laughter rang out from the old house, bathed in bright light.

A smile bloomed on Amosta's lips as well. He walked over and knocked on the door.

Knock, knock, knock—

The laughter inside abruptly vanished. Amosta heard hurried footsteps and the sound of chairs being knocked over. At least seven or eight wands were pointed at him.

"Who is it?!"

Even through the door, Amosta could feel Remus's resolve to face death without flinching, and it amused him.

"At any rate, it isn't Voldemort—"

Amosta said.

"If he came calling, he probably wouldn't knock."

After several seconds of silence, hurried footsteps sounded behind the door. Then it was yanked open, revealing Remus's delighted face.

"Amosta!"
