Across an open-air corridor, Harry looked at Cedric on the opposite side.

The pride of Hufflepuff, the champion who had represented Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament.

He roared madly. With his sharp eyesight, Harry could see the sorrowful tears on Cedric's face.

Like a madman, he swung his wand, cutting down the Leprechauns surging toward him, refusing to let the monsters get close. Close to the girl he loved!

The girl in his arms had blood on her forehead. Her eyes were closed as though she were asleep, her expression so peaceful.

The world was deafeningly noisy, yet Harry felt as if his heart had been hollowed out.

"Move!"

Sirius roared, and purple magical flames surged from his wand, forcing back the Leprechauns charging toward them as well.

As if they had sensed the presence of living beings.

The other monsters climbing up the walls leapt onto this corridor one after another. The corridor, which had seemed relatively "spacious" moments ago, was visibly filling up!

"Move!"

Mr. Weasley roared as well.

Harry came back to his senses. He was lost and confused, and instinctively looked toward Hermione and Ron beside him. He wanted to ask what his closest friends thought.

Hermione—she kept shaking her head in small movements, one hand over her mouth, her eyes brimming with tears. Ron was muttering something, but Harry could not make it out.

"You will not hurt my students!"

Professor Flitwick shouted. Harry could hardly believe that Professor Flitwick, who had always taught them Charms and possessed such a humorous personality, could unleash such a savage roar.

He was also far more agile than Harry had expected.

Professor Flitwick dragged his long robes behind him, slashing with his wand to clear himself a narrow path before charging forward at the head of the group.
