History

Former Hegemony and Decline

Qiankun Sect once ruled Qiankun Continent and exerted influence over several nearby smaller continents. Under its previous Sect Master, its reach also extended to Wuji Continent 721 910.

The former Sect Master explored the Immortal King Ruins with Xue Wuya of the Blood God Sect. Coveting the Great Sun Undying Body cultivation method obtained by Qiankun Sect, Xue Wuya laid a trap that severely injured the Sect Master and ultimately caused his death 910.

Huang Kurong exploited this crisis to rebel. Song Yanfei’s account describes rumors that he had failed to secure the Sect Master position; Gan Tian later identifies the former Sect Master’s death as the opportunity that enabled the rebellion. Although the uprising was suppressed, Huang Kurong escaped with his surviving followers and founded Earth Desolate Hall 721 910.

The upheaval occurred roughly three hundred years before Lin Langtian’s arrival. Repeated unsuccessful campaigns against Earth Desolate Hall further depleted the sect, forcing it to withdraw from Wuji Continent and retreat to Qiankun Continent’s Northern Region. Gan Tian’s injuries kept him in prolonged seclusion, leaving the Great Elder to oversee everyday affairs 721 727 910.

Lin Langtian’s Admission

Song Yanfei gives Lin Langtian the Song Family’s Qiankun Gold Token, allowing him to seek exceptional admission. After killing Han Lin and two accompanying Second-grade Supremes, he travels to Qiankun Heaven and presents the token to its entrance guards. Great Elder Qian Qiong subsequently appoints him commander of Silver Mist Palace 720 721 723 724.

His victory over Dong Kui in the Spirit Pond competition, followed by his successful refinement of Supreme Holy Water, raises the standing of the previously marginalized palace. He later leads the Silver Mist Guard to victory over the Calamity Guard, with the Third Elder enforcing the defeated faction’s obligation to honor its wager 739 744 752.

Chaos Domain Campaign

After emerging from seclusion, Gan Tian orders a campaign against the Chaos Domain, whose factions have repeatedly encroached on Qiankun Sect territory. Its three leading powers—Blazing Fist Sect, Black Demon Sect, and Dragon Might Sect—receive support from Earth Desolate Hall 752 764.

The confrontation culminates in three wagered matches. Qian Qiong wins the elder match, the Spear King loses the King-level match, and Lin Langtian defeats Song Zang in the deciding commander match. Gan Tian then refuses Huang Kurong’s offer to purchase Lin Langtian’s surrender and personally protects him 765 766 769 770.

After the campaign, Lin Langtian defeats Yang Hao to secure the sect’s Dragon Kun Realm entry slot. His unprecedented ascent of the Dragon Kun Ladder’s tenth step subsequently brings widespread recognition to Qiankun Sect 773 792.

Continent Hunting War

Qiankun Sect enters the Graveyard of Destruction to compete for ruins and Destruction Origin Pills. Its King-level forces reinforce one another against Earth Desolate Hall, while Lin Langtian increasingly directs their combined military efforts 798 808 814.

The sect accumulates nearly two hundred thousand Destruction Origin Pills after the Level One Ruins expedition. Following the confrontation over the captured Earthly Kun King, its total reaches 450,000; Gan Tian spends 100,000 to open the seals of the Earthly Supreme’s secret treasury 827 830 834 835.

Lin Langtian helps prevent an Outer Realm Evil Demon’s scheme and receives the Qiankun Demon Suppressing Tower. Gan Tian promotes him to Vice Sect Master, recognizing his contributions while strengthening the sect’s relationship with Spirit Aunt. Qiankun Sect emerges as the greatest beneficiary of the hunting war 850 851.

Restored Hegemony and Internal Challenges

Gan Tian’s High-level Earthly Supreme breakthrough enables renewed conquest and large-scale recruitment. The influx of powerful outsiders also creates friction: newcomers challenge established leaders whose cultivation is lower than their own. Upon returning, Lin Langtian subdues Xu Xiuyuan’s group and protects Jiang Yinlan’s authority over Silver Mist Palace 902 903 904.

Blood Nether Son and the Savage Emperor then contest the Vice Sect Master position. Lin Langtian reveals his Earthly Supreme cultivation and faces both challengers, prompting the elders to regard him as a pillar capable of securing the sect’s restored supremacy 905 906 908.

Resolution of the Blood God Sect Grudge

Gan Tian tells Lin Langtian how Xue Wuya caused the former Sect Master’s death. Lin Langtian subsequently leads a selected group of Qiankun Sect experts to Wuji Continent through the sect’s interworld teleportation array 910 911.

He ultimately defeats the Blood God Sect’s three High-level Earthly Supreme elders, cripples Xue Wuya, disbands the sect, and rescues his captured companions. Qiankun Sect celebrates his return, and Gan Tian offers him the Sect Master position. Lin Langtian declines because he intends to pursue higher cultivation realms and explore the wider Great Thousand World 944.
