Anko screamed as she rolled across the ground. Soon, the layer of blue flames burning over her body was forcibly extracted and stripped away by some force, entering a cat's mouth.
The cat was built like an orange cat, entirely blue and patterned with flames. A fluffy, bushy tail swayed behind it.
After swallowing the flames, the cat burped and rubbed its belly with a paw.
"Give up. This woman is too stupid to master my power." The blue cat suddenly spoke.
Kagetsu, who was treating Anko's injuries with Medical Ninjutsu, tensed. Sure enough, Anko exploded in anger the next moment.
"Who are you calling stupid?! Anyone else who touches the power of a fat cat like you either gets burned to ash or blasted into the sky, okay?!" Anko glared at the cat in embarrassment and fury.
The cat's eyes instantly turned dangerous. Its curled-up body arched into a pouncing stance, tiny white fangs exposed as though it were about to leap forward and bite Anko's throat.
"New cat food!"
Kagetsu's sudden words instantly returned the bristling cat to normal. It licked its paws and gave Anko a cold glance.
"I'm not a cat! Don't compare me to those Ninja Cats." The cat corrected Kagetsu. Though it knew there was little point in correcting him, it still felt it had to try when they were in private.
It had merely been given the form of a cat upon its birth. Just like that big fox with nine tails in the village—did that make it a real fox?
Though they looked different, they belonged to the same race: Tailed Beasts!
