"Go back, it's dangerous here!"
"Hurry back, they're after you!"
Seeing Rorschach step out on his own, several CIA special agents couldn't help but turn and shout at him.
Of course, some agents had already been scared shitless by Red Devil and Avalanche. They were just biting their lips, trembling all over, and on guard, paying no mind to Rorschach.
"Sorry, mind if I borrow your gun."
Rorschach completely ignored the agents and instead reached out, snatching an assault rifle from a nearby agent.
He took two steps forward, arriving beside a statue that the Wrecker had already cut in half. He leaped lightly and stood directly on top of it.
Gripping the assault rifle tightly, he began to scan his surroundings.
Whoosh!
A red light flashed through the crowd, and at the same time, Red Devil's figure suddenly appeared.
The other agents were naturally unable to react, but Rorschach reacted immediately.
Bang!
Rorschach spun around abruptly and fired a shot directly at Red Devil.
Whoosh!
Red Devil's just-appeared figure vanished once more.
There was no way around it; Rorschach's reaction was too fast. Red Devil barely had time to do anything before a bullet flew towards him.
Forcing him to dodge.
Whoosh!
Bang!
Whoosh!
Bang!
And so, Red Devil and Rorschach began a game of cat and mouse.
As soon as Red Devil's figure appeared, a bullet would immediately follow, forcing Red Devil to use his abilities to teleport.
Provoked to this extent by Rorschach, Red Devil's attention was indeed drawn away.
He stopped attacking the other CIA agents and instead used his abilities to constantly appear around Rorschach.
Constantly closing in on Rorschach.
"Interesting."
Avalanche, watching from the side, couldn't help but cross his arms and watch the show.
He had no intention of stepping in to help.
They were all veteran mutants who had followed Black King through countless battles and weathered innumerable storms. Why would they gang up on a junior?
Moreover, Avalanche knew Red Devil's abilities well.
Even though Red Devil was temporarily suppressed by the young man, that was all it was. The young man wasn't posing any real threat to Red Devil.
He believed that it wouldn't be long before Red Devil found an opportunity to turn the tables.
"Ah~ I really didn't expect there to be such a promising mutant hidden here."
Just then, a voice suddenly rang out.
A man wearing a helmet, looking quite imposing, walked over with light steps.
It was Black King Shaw, who had already dealt with the other security forces within the CIA and swaggered his way here.
Clang clang clang!
Seeing Shaw appear, the surviving agents on the scene immediately raised their rifles and aimed them at Shaw.
Shaw didn't do much, not even glancing at the agents.
In his eyes, they were nothing more than low-level ants.
Avalanche, who had been watching the spectacle, stopped now. He flicked his hands, unleashing a tornado that swept towards the agents.
A series of screams and groans immediately erupted.
Everyone was blown away by the tornado.
When the tornado finally dissipated, there wasn't a single CIA agent left standing on the scene.
The only consolation was that, compared to Red Devil's deadly strikes, most of them had miraculously survived being blown to the ground by the tornado.
They just looked rather disheveled.
Rorschach, high above, merely glanced at Shaw indifferently, doing nothing to him. He knew that any attack on Shaw would only feed him energy.
It was all a waste of effort.
"Shaw, actually... I'm almost done!"
The Red Devil suddenly appeared in one spot, immediately explaining himself to the Black King.
The Black King had sent him and Avalanche to scout ahead, clearing the area for the Black King's meeting with the other mutants.
As it turned out, the Black King had arrived, but the Red Devil was still dawdling and hadn't finished. Strictly speaking, he was derelict in his duty.
"No rush," the Black King said with a chuckle, looking like he was enjoying the show. "I want to get to know our compatriots here a bit more."
But even with the Black King saying that, how could the Red Devil dare to delay any further?
He activated his ability, and his figure began to "blink" rapidly around Rorschach's location, disappearing and reappearing with increasing frequency.
Bang, bang, bang!
The gunshots from Rorschach's hand also became more frequent, but gradually, as the Red Devil's blinking speed increased, Rorschach clearly couldn't keep up.
He was starting to get flustered.
To make matters worse, Rorschach's bullets had run out. He couldn't help but start checking the firearm in his hand.
"Now!"
The Red Devil seized the critical moment and appeared directly behind Rorschach!
He reached out to grab Rorschach.
If Rorschach were caught, it would mean a complete and utter defeat, as the Red Devil could instantly carry him tens of thousands of feet into the sky!
The "human rain" that had occurred in the base earlier was caused by the Red Devil doing just that.
"Careful!"
A cry of alarm immediately rang out.
Mystique Raven, Beast Hank, Siren, and the others all couldn't help but exclaim.
Swish!
But at that very moment, Rorschach suddenly reached back, as if he had eyes in the back of his head, and actually grabbed the Red Devil by the neck.
Before the Red Devil's hand could touch him, Rorschach had already subdued him!
Crack!
Then, without any wasted words, Rorschach's right hand exerted a sudden force, snapping the Red Devil's neck.
The Red Devil's eyes widened, utterly unable to believe what was happening before him.
This young man was actually this powerful?
How did he do it?
What the Red Devil couldn't possibly have realized was that Rorschach could clearly hear his heartbeat!
When facing the Red Devil's teleportation, this was a far faster and more precise method than visual tracking.
Every time the Red Devil teleported, Rorschach could lock onto his position about 0.5 seconds faster than an ordinary person.
This was why Rorschach was able to react instantly and strike a killing blow the moment the Red Devil appeared up close.
This was also why Rorschach had actively provoked the Red Devil into attacking him, as he only had confidence in close combat.
If it were at a distance, after locking onto the Red Devil, he would still need to turn his body, move his arms, aim, and pull the trigger, which would be much slower.
He would miss the opportunity to kill the Red Devil.
