"Mr. Rorschach!"
Upon seeing Rorschach appear, Jarvis, who had been waiting by the car, immediately stepped forward to greet him politely.
"Jarvis, have you been waiting long?"
"I just arrived myself. Please get in the car, Mr. Rorschach. The banquet has already been arranged."
Jarvis walked around to the other side and opened the car door specifically for Rorschach.
One had to admit, Howard Stark's butler seemed more like a gentleman in every aspect than Howard Stark himself.
Although Howard Stark was no longer young, his playboy persona hadn't changed much.
"A banquet? I thought you said it was just a casual meal. Stark doesn't need to make such a grand affair."
Rorschach glanced at Jarvis.
"Mr. Rorschach is Mr. Stark's savior, so naturally, we can't be too casual," Jarvis said, gesturing for Rorschach to get into the car.
"What savior? That's a bit of an exaggeration."
Rorschach shook his head and didn't say anything more.
After all, Howard Stark lacked nothing except money. If it was a banquet, then so be it. It was an opportunity to indulge in some luxury.
"Commander, target acquired! Repeat, target acquired!"
Just as Rorschach was about to get into the car, he suddenly paused.
Rorschach's super hearing had inadvertently picked up a conversation.
"Can you confirm?"
A voice came through the earpiece, tinged with excitement.
"The resemblance to the profile is over eighty percent. We can confirm it's the target we're looking for!"
"Excellent. Keep a close eye on him!"
"Understood, Commander!"
The conversation ended there.
"Mr. Rorschach?"
Seeing Rorschach in a slight daze, Jarvis couldn't help but call out tentatively.
"Oh, it's nothing."
Rorschach waved his hand and got into the car as if nothing had happened.
However, at the same time, Rorschach remained vigilant.
He immediately looked out the car window in the direction the voices had come from.
Indeed, he saw a lean young man, about thirty years old with a buzz cut, stealthily watching him from an inconspicuous corner.
And after Rorschach got into the car, the man immediately got into his own vehicle.
Once Jarvis started the car, that vehicle followed at a discreet distance.
Rorschach was certain that the man's target was him!
"Who could it be?"
Rorschach fell into thought.
To be honest, he hadn't been reborn into this world for very long and hadn't offended anyone. Who would be targeting him?
But then again, Rorschach had killed Sabretooth, killed Red Devil and Avalanche, and killed several Werewolves...
Alright, Rorschach retracted his previous thought.
Besides, it had been a long time since he killed Sabretooth, and it was pretty much confirmed through Caliban that Shaw hadn't found him. Could the person targeting him be a Werewolf?
But it seemed a bit odd for a Werewolf to be a "Commander," didn't it?
Had those guys also developed such an organized and tight-knit group?
That shouldn't be the case.
Rorschach appeared to be resting with his eyes closed in his seat, but his mind was busy calculating and analyzing.
However, after thinking it over and over, he couldn't come to a definitive conclusion, so he decided to stop thinking about it.
When those guys revealed themselves, everything would become clear.
54th Street, New York.
Inside a temporary command center.
Stryker wore an excited expression. Finally, he had found that guy!
The deaths of Sabretooth and Ling had always been a thorn in Stryker's side, and he had spared no effort in a thorough investigation.
But for some reason, apart from that amusement park, the killers had left absolutely no trace!
This made Stryker extremely annoyed.
In the end, he could only helplessly decide to let it go.
But who would have thought that when one thought there was no way out, a new path would open up? Stryker unexpectedly got a very useful clue from Lucien.
An Eastern young man who killed Werewolf with his bare hands!
Although Stryker wasn't a mutant, he understood mutants better than anyone.
In his understanding, the vast majority of mutants were Westerners, and Easterners were extremely rare.
At the very least, in all his years dealing with mutants, Stryker had never seen an Eastern face!
Coupled with the fact that both of them fought using fists and kicks, the target was already very clear.
Stryker ordered his men to investigate.
Using the bar where the incident occurred as the center, and including all of the target's personal connections, they deployed a large number of personnel to stake out and investigate.
The middle-aged man who frequented the bar with Rorschach, the actual manager of the bar, and Howard Stark, whom Rorschach had saved, and so on.
These were all Rorschach's connections.
They were all included in the surveillance scope.
And Jarvis, as Howard Stark's representative, was not spared either.
However, the middle-aged man was Raven in disguise, and the bar manager Caliban was already very sensitive. He had immediately relocated after the "agent shootout" incident.
There was nothing to find out.
Instead, a major breakthrough came from Jarvis, whom they didn't have much hope for, which was something Stryker hadn't expected.
"Finally found him? Commander, I'll go and arrest him right now!"
The loyal Wade volunteered, stepping forward.
"Wait a moment, Wade!"
Stryker stopped Wade directly, "You can't go alone this time. I'm assigning you two tactical teams to command!"
"Commander, isn't that overkill? Do you really think it's necessary? We're just going to catch one person, not go to war!"
Wade said speechlessly.
Was the Commander placing too much importance on that guy?
He just killed Sabretooth, what's the big deal.
"Wade, you are an important candidate for the X-Weapon Project, and there can be no mistakes! I won't take any risks." Stryker naturally had his reasons.
"So, you really think I might fail? Commander, I'm heartbroken. I thought you knew me well enough by now, but it seems you still don't understand me well enough..."
"Shut up, Wade. Your mission this time is to bring the person to me while ensuring your own safety."
Stryker didn't have time for verbal sparring with Wade. He interrupted him directly, "If you can't bring the person, then... bring the serum!"
For Stryker's research, the serum was enough anyway.
Of course, Stryker's primary goal wasn't to kill Rorschach, but to find the mutant organization behind him.
But if the situation became unfavorable, he would have to settle for the next best thing.
