Yao Wan glanced at Xun'er. "You didn't know?"
"I haven't been back to the Dou Qi Continent once these past few years. Of course I heard it from the younger clansmen who ascended."
Xun'er rolled her eyes at Yao Wan, but it also made her instinctively search through the information regarding the Gu Clan. After the initial wave of ascensions, it seemed that every year after that, the Gu Clan had steadily sent around a hundred young descendants to the Endless Fire Territory, along with some older Elders who came of their own accord.
By comparison, the Yao Clan clearly did not have the Gu Clan's regularity. Even after adding up the numbers over several years, the juniors who had ascended under the Yao Clan's official name numbered fewer than a hundred.
Of course, part of the reason was that they had poached people far too aggressively back then. To establish the Medicine Tower, who knew how many alchemists from across the entire Dou Qi Continent had been brought away by them? The Yao Clan, the Pill Tower, and those famous alchemists with names to their credit had borne the brunt of it.
Even if one were harvesting leeks, this was not the way to do it. Even descendants with promising futures were truly hard to find in the short term.
"As long as everything on the Dou Qi Continent is safe and sound."
At least from this perspective, even if the Dou Qi Continent still had constant conflict, it no longer had to face opponents like the Hun Clan and the Spirit Devouring Clan.
"Yes. At least in that respect, you can set your mind at ease, Lady Mystic Empress."
Xun'er shook her head. As her lips pressed together slightly, she seemed to want to speak, only to stop.
