Yao Wan was born with a Heaven Realm Soul, startling the Yao Clan leadership. Yao Dan took her away at birth, raised her personally, and became both her patriarch and mentor. Her exceptional talent earned her extensive cultivation resources, though it also left her largely secluded from ordinary clan life 1 704.

Despite Yao Dan's hopes for her, Yao Wan could not originally inherit the Yao Clan leadership because of prevailing gender expectations. She cultivated diligently rather than relying on her status, reaching the Dou Wang realm while remaining notably humble before her teacher 1.
