Ch. 61Fierce Battle

Su Hao lured Jin Datong out of the city and fought him in the open, using his speed and a carefully arranged battlefield to sever Jin Datong’s arm. After pretending to be badly wounded, Su Hao fled to draw Jin Datong into another attack, and the chapter ended with them meeting each other’s gaze as Jin Datong caught up.

  • Su Hao decided to retreat with the unconscious Xiao Mei, but first struck Jin Datong to create an opening and carried her out through a window.
  • Su Hao dropped Xiao Mei safely into thick grass, escaped over the city wall, and led Jin Datong toward the outskirts.
  • Su Hao and Jin Datong fought in the open, where Su Hao used repeated attacks to arrange the battlefield for a decisive strike.
  • Jin Datong deflected Su Hao’s saber and punched him, but Su Hao severed Jin Datong’s left arm in return.
  • Su Hao feigned severe injury and fled, prompting Jin Datong to chase him and swing a powerful punch as their eyes met.

Ch. 62Right and Wrong

Su Hao killed Jin Datong and wrestled with the meaning of right and wrong before deciding to pursue the unknown without hesitation. Lingyun Town’s leaders investigated the murder, while Su Hao returned to the Academy and reunited with He Qingqing and Little Fatty.

  • Su Hao used a hidden pit to disrupt Jin Datong, traded an arm for a punch, then cut off Jin Datong’s head after using Barrier again.
  • After cleaning up the scene and retrieving his longsword, Su Hao questioned whether killing Jin Datong had been right, then resolved to pursue his goals and explore the universe’s unknowns.
  • Lu Luyun, Hua Hongyi, and Xiao Jixuan examined the deaths of Jin Datong and Jin Damo, found no local suspect, and imposed a month of martial law while claiming the Murder Ghost had been executed.
  • Su Hao avoided exchanging his Beast Pattern for money and returned to the Warrior Academy three days later.
  • He Qingqing and Little Fatty noticed Su Hao seemed different, and Su Hao joked that he had taken a bath before learning that tuition cost one Gold Yuan and threatening to quit.

Ch. 63Wilderness

Su Hao graduated early from Lingyun Warrior Academy and ventured into the wilderness to collect beast patterns while avoiding trouble in Lingyun Town. After hunting and dissecting ferocious beasts for half a month, he claimed a cave as a base for gathering patterns in large quantities.

  • Su Hao asked Old Liu for early graduation, and Old Liu approved while inviting him to return for the cohort's ceremony in three years.
  • Su Hao told Little Fatty to protect He Qingqing while he was away, then packed supplies and left the city with his radar active.
  • Su Hao killed a giant centipede beast and found an incomplete beast pattern inside its fifth carapace segment, along with a parasite.
  • Over the next five days, Su Hao hunted elite ferocious beasts and recorded their beast patterns as he traveled deeper into the wilderness.
  • Half a month later, Su Hao killed a ghost pattern giant spider, cleared its cave, and chose the cave as his base for collecting beast patterns.

Ch. 64Team Quality Depends on the Boss

After completing the Short-tailed Dragon Beast Pattern and discovering its Oscillation effect, Su Hao returned to Lingyun Town to restock and find a safe way to sell Beast Patterns. He chose Qilian Chamber of Commerce as his first prospective buyer.

  • Su Hao completed the Short-tailed Dragon Beast pattern and activated a new Beast Pattern that produced high-frequency Oscillation.
  • Su Hao extracted Blood Qi Crystals, left the dragon corpses behind, and traveled back to Lingyun Town while avoiding Exploration Groups.
  • Su Hao returned to town, cleaned up, bought new clothes, and realized he needed to sell Beast Patterns for money.
  • Su Hao studied Lingyun Town's groups and businesses, then narrowed his possible buyers to Hunt, Red Rock Chamber of Commerce, and Qilian Chamber of Commerce.
  • Su Hao selected Qilian Chamber of Commerce as the place to try selling his Beast Patterns.

Ch. 65Surprise

Su Hao sold three unique Beast Patterns to the Qilian Chamber of Commerce, used the proceeds to buy equipment, and returned to the Wilderness. After months of studying Beast Pattern structures with the help of Perception, he found a promising direction for researching Runes.

  • Su Hao drew five Beast Patterns and sold the three that the Qilian Chamber of Commerce had not already recorded, earning fifty-three Gold Yuan after a deduction.
  • Su Hao learned that the Chamber of Commerce tested Beast Patterns with a dangerous Heaven-Facing Stone and hurried away from it.
  • Su Hao spent his earnings on armor, weapons, and supplies, then used Radar to return to his cave while avoiding Exploration Groups.
  • Su Hao killed a Mantis Sickle Beast that had occupied the cave and later conducted Rune experiments on an Explosive Needle Lizard's corpse.
  • Su Hao used Perception to observe Blood Qi changes while testing shared Beast Pattern structures, and after another month he found a direction for Rune research.

Ch. 66First Law of Runes

Su Hao discovered that Blood Qi-consuming rune fragments converted Blood Qi into a hidden force, then formulated the first two laws of runes. After returning to Lingyun Town to resupply and visit Wu Yuntian, he headed deeper into the wilderness and found a White-Headed Fox colony to hunt.

  • Su Hao isolated a flower-shaped rune structure that consumed Blood Qi and, after further experiments, concluded that it converted the energy into a special force he named Fundamental Force One.
  • Su Hao identified a second force structure, named it Fundamental Force Two, and spent half a month simplifying both structures and recording the First and Second Laws of Runes.
  • Su Hao abandoned his depleted hunting base, returned to Lingyun Town, sold three beast patterns, and bought supplies, armor, weapons, and food for Wu Yuntian and the villagers at Tea Mountain Outpost.
  • Su Hao gave Wu Yuntian ten Gold Yuan and joked that he should find himself another wife, then left Lingyun Town three days later.
  • After trekking for more than ten days, Su Hao found a White-Headed Fox colony and decided to wipe it out.

Ch. 67Array Disk

Over two years in the Wilderness, Su Hao expanded his rune knowledge and grew confident in his strength while continuing to hunt Ferocious Beasts. After struggling to recombine foundational runes, he designed standardized Pins and a circular Array Disk, then uncovered a secret hidden within Beast Patterns.

  • At twelve, Su Hao cataloged foundational runes and studied how the Barrier rune worked, learning that it strengthened against stronger impacts.
  • Su Hao traveled between Wilderness bases and nearby cities, hunted Ferocious Beasts, and avoided opponents too dangerous to fight.
  • After another year, thirteen-year-old Su Hao tried combining foundational runes, but his constructions failed or collapsed.
  • Su Hao analyzed complete Beast Patterns and realized their local parts had to fit an overall circuit.
  • Su Hao designed standardized Pins for foundational runes and a circular Array Disk with ring-shaped sections and interfaces.
  • Through experiments, Su Hao discovered a secret hidden within Beast Patterns that led him to finalize the Array Disk's structure.

Ch. 68Great Master Realm

Su Hao completed his fifth-generation Array Disks, reproducing every Beast Pattern he had, then set out to return to Tea Mountain Outpost. On the way, he encountered and killed a Great Master Realm Black-headed White-tailed Eagle.

  • Su Hao discovered how Beast Patterns coordinated three functional dimensions and successfully reproduced the Strong Light pattern with an Array Disk.
  • Over the next year, Su Hao advanced his Array Disks to the fifth generation and reproduced every complete Beast Pattern he possessed.
  • Su Hao left the Wilderness, cleaned up in Shuangshi Town, and began traveling toward Lingyun Town.
  • Ten days into his journey, Su Hao was pursued across a plain by a Great Master Realm Black-headed White-tailed Eagle.
  • Su Hao used Barrier, Deflection, Strong Light, and other Runes to evade the eagle's claws, sever its wing, and kill it.

Ch. 69Energy Core

Su Hao dissected a Great Master Realm White-Tailed Eagle and theorized that advancement to that realm depended on energy, then returned to Tea Mountain Outpost and reunited with Wu Yuntian. After simplifying the Hardness Beast Pattern into a Rune Array Disk for his father, Su Hao was warned that revealing his invention could put him in danger, leaving him unsure how to share his knowledge safely.

  • Su Hao dissected the White-Tailed Eagle, found a complete Penetration Beast Pattern and a Blood Qi-filled bead, and speculated that Great Master Realm advancement involved energy.
  • Su Hao traveled cautiously for twenty days before returning to Tea Mountain Outpost and waiting for Wu Yuntian.
  • Wu Yuntian told Su Hao that he had found the Blood Qi Strengthening Wave and reached peak Blood Qi intensity, but could not memorize Beast Patterns.
  • Su Hao simplified the Hardness Beast Pattern into a Rune Array Disk and taught Wu Yuntian how to inscribe and adjust it.
  • Wu Yuntian warned Su Hao that high-level Martial Artists might seize his Array Disk knowledge and kill him, and Su Hao wondered how he could share it safely.

Ch. 70Mengxu Beast

Su Hao visited Lingyun Warrior Academy to ask about advancing to Great Master Realm, then joined Bald Old Liu when a Great Master Realm Mengxu Beast breached Lingyun Town’s wall and began devouring residents. Lingyun Town’s Guard Team and local Grandmaster Warriors assembled to confront it, while Su Hao wondered whether he should offer to follow Commander Hua Hongyi’s orders.

  • Su Hao reunited with Old Liu, gave him a treasured saber, and learned that advancing to Great Master Realm required eight years of service with the main city’s Guard Team.
  • A powerful beast attacked Lingyun Town, and Su Hao sensed that it was a Great Master Realm Ferocious Beast.
  • Su Hao and Old Liu found the Mengxu Beast rampaging through the town and learned that its vulnerable eyes and underside were difficult to attack because of its tentacles.
  • Hua Hongyi arrived with Lingyun Town’s Guard Team, and local Grandmaster Warriors declared that they awaited his orders.
  • Su Hao watched the warriors gather and wondered whether he should join them in awaiting Hua Hongyi’s orders.

Ch. 71Silver Light

Hua Hongyi led the warriors in a desperate effort to drive the Mengxu Beast out of Lingyun Town, while Su Hao secretly armed himself and joined the fight. As Old Liu saved Feng Man'er at the cost of his own life, a Silver Light arrived and unleashed a barrage of abilities against the beast.

  • Su Hao offered to help, but Hua Hongyi sent him away, so he watched the battle from a distance.
  • Hua Hongyi organized the warriors into a three-sided assault to force the Mengxu Beast back along its original path, but its tentacles killed and swallowed many fighters.
  • Seeing the warriors refuse to retreat, Su Hao slipped into a weapon shop, donned armor and a faceguard, and charged back toward the Mengxu Beast in disguise.
  • As the assault faltered, Feng Man'er was caught by a tentacle, and Old Liu charged in, severing the tentacle that held her before another tentacle pierced him.
  • A Silver Light arrived just as Old Liu was dragged away and unleashed a series of abilities against the Mengxu Beast.

Ch. 72We Need You

Su Hao saved Old Liu and severely wounded the Mengxu Beast by attacking its organs from inside. After helping Hua Hongyi’s group turn the battle in their favor, he slipped away in disguise and prepared to leave.

  • A silver-armored Su Hao rescued Old Liu from the Mengxu Beast’s tentacle and Feng Man’er carried Old Liu from the battlefield.
  • Su Hao cut through the Mengxu Beast’s defenses, severed its tentacles, and opened a deep wound in its body.
  • Su Hao blinded the charging beast, entered its mouth, and used the Collapse Rune to crush its organs.
  • Su Hao carved his way out of the Mengxu Beast and joined Hua Hongyi’s view of the dying creature before leaving without being recognized.
  • Su Hao returned to the weapon shop, changed into clean armor, packed his belongings, and prepared to depart.

Ch. 73The Power to Change the World

After Su Hao killed the Mengxu Beast, Lingyun Town’s leaders realized the Silver-Masked Warrior was a powerful Rune Master and chose to stop investigating Jin Datong’s death. In the Wilderness, Su Hao studied Great Master Ferocious Beasts’ Energy Cores and resolved to spread Rune knowledge so ordinary people could resist the beasts.

  • Hua Hongyi organized the battlefield cleanup, and Lu Luyun and Xiao Jixuan returned to find the Mengxu Beast dead.
  • After hearing how the beast had been killed, Hua Hongyi, Lu Luyun, and Xiao Jixuan concluded its killer was a high-stage Great Master and likely a Rune Master.
  • Xiao Jixuan linked the mysterious warrior to Jin Datong’s death, but Lu Luyun ordered them to stop investigating and sent Hua Hongyi to deliver the beast’s Original Core to He'an Main City.
  • Su Hao hunted five Great Master Ferocious Beasts and discovered that each contained an Energy Core holding most of its Blood Qi.
  • Su Hao set aside his Great Master research and decided to master Rune principles, publish his findings, and give the Human Race access to Rune knowledge.

Ch. 74I Have Arrived

Su Hao discovered that Gold Thread Worms could carry Blood Qi through engraved rune patterns, making reusable rune weapons and armor possible. A year and a half later, he had organized more than eight hundred basic runes, developed many applications, and written two books to spread his discoveries across Yonghe Continent.

  • Su Hao reasoned that rune patterns needed a substance more compatible with Blood Qi than metal, then tested Gold Thread Worms in grooves cut into a metal plate.
  • The Gold Thread Worms successfully activated an Array Disk rune and remained alive, so Su Hao began using them to build rune devices.
  • A year and a half later, Su Hao had numbered and organized more than eight hundred basic runes into nine sequences and developed both combat and household rune applications.
  • Su Hao created rune weapons and armor that Elite Warriors could activate with Blood Qi, using Gold Thread Worms that could survive for at least a year and a half with occasional feeding.
  • Su Hao wrote Path of the Warrior and Complete Explanation of Runes, signed both books Passerby, and declared that he had arrived.

Ch. 75Passerby

Su Hao bid farewell to Wu Yuntian and left Tea Mountain Outpost as Passerby, determined to spread his Rune research and reshape the world before his uncertain death. A month later, he opened a weapon shop in Guyang Town and proved his Rune-enhanced swords could pierce steel, drawing a rush of customers.

  • Su Hao gave Wu Yuntian copies of "Path of the Warrior" and "Complete Explanation of Runes," and Wu Yuntian promised to preserve them and pass them on if Su Hao failed.
  • Su Hao left Tea Mountain Outpost, put on a face mask, and took the name Passerby as he set out to raise a storm and change the world.
  • A month later, Su Hao opened a weapon shop in Guyang Town selling longswords and armor engraved with Runes.
  • Su Hao compelled a bald Elite Warrior and his companions to test his longswords, which easily pierced a thick steel plate while their own weapons could not.
  • The bald warrior and his companions bought swords, and the crowds outside rushed into the shop to buy weapons and ask about the armor.

Ch. 76Silver-Armored Rune Master

Su Hao spread books on rune weapons and Martial Artist advancement through more than twenty Human Race towns under the name “Silver-Armored Rune Master.” The books reached the Human King and the Eight Great Elders, leaving the Human Race’s leaders and townspeople reacting to their implications.

  • Su Hao sold his remaining weapons and armor, then sparked a buying frenzy by offering books on how to craft them.
  • Su Hao traveled from town to town, selling books about rune weapons and Martial Artist advancement until they spread across more than twenty Human Race towns.
  • Meng Donghua studied Path of the Warrior and Complete Explanation of Runes, tested their rune methods, and hurried to report their importance to the Human King.
  • A guard told Meng Donghua that the Human King had already summoned the Eight Great Elders to discuss the books.
  • Meng Donghua found his colleagues debating the books’ effects on the Human Race and wondered if he had been the last to hear about them.

Ch. 77Encirclement Kill

The Human King and the Nine Cities elders ordered the recovery and banning of Su Hao’s books, then sent ten Great Master Warriors to capture him. Su Hao killed one pursuer in a swift Rune-enhanced attack, while the remaining nine tracked him and continued the chase.

  • The elders debated Su Hao’s books, and the Human King approved a plan to recover and ban them, find Su Hao, and establish a Rune Exploration Institute.
  • The Human King dispatched ten Great Master Level Warriors to capture Su Hao.
  • Su Hao detected the ten warriors closing in and tried to escape using Runes to boost his speed and hide his presence.
  • When one Great Master Warrior intercepted him with a Rune Blade, Su Hao used Triple Burst—Sliding Shadow Step to break the blade and cut off the warrior’s head.
  • The remaining nine warriors gathered at the scene, and their leader ordered them to pursue Su Hao while Old Cao locked onto his position.

Ch. 78A Grandmaster vs. Nine Great Masters

Su Hao turned back to fight the nine Great Master Warriors, using speed, runes, and carefully chosen targets to avoid being surrounded. He killed the fastest pursuer and another Great Master, then escaped past two more as the remaining enemies continued the chase.

  • Su Hao realized the pursuers could track him, turned back, and planned to keep moving while killing the fastest enemies one by one.
  • Su Hao charged the nine Great Master Warriors, and the Water Pattern Cloaked Warrior ordered them to spread out and surround him.
  • Su Hao killed the Water Pattern Cloaked Warrior in a single high-speed pass, leaving the other eight stunned before they resumed the pursuit.
  • The eight Great Master Warriors regrouped in pairs and assigned Old Crane to prepare a Destruction Punch, while Su Hao circled back with his runes replenished.
  • Su Hao activated Earth Spike to scatter the enemies, then used electric current and his short blade to kill another Great Master Warrior.
  • Su Hao activated Fire Ring to force two pursuers to retreat, then ran away as the remaining Great Masters chased him.

Ch. 79Silent Slaughter Was About to Begin

Su Hao faced seven Great Master Warriors who repeatedly chased him while avoiding a direct fight, trying to force him to answer the Human King’s summons. Unable to escape or safely attack, Su Hao began building wooden wings to improve his mobility as night fell.

  • The seven Martial Artists agreed to trail Su Hao and wear him down rather than risk fighting him directly.
  • Su Hao repeatedly tried to shake the seven pursuers, then charged them and escaped when their formation threatened to trap him.
  • Su Hao assessed his lack of mobility, ranged attacks, and explosive power, then used Little Light to design wings powered and reinforced by Runes.
  • Su Hao felled a large tree and began carving its wood while the seven debated whether to stop him but none dared lead an attack.
  • Night fell as Su Hao continued working and the seven watched from a distance, unaware that silent slaughter was about to begin.

Ch. 80Fate Decides Life and Death

Su Hao tested his handmade wings in flight, mastered concealed aerial movement, and attacked the seven Martial Artists pursuing him. After he killed Old Cao, the surviving six chose to use five of their number as bait while Old Crane handled the rest.

  • Su Hao carved wings, attached them to his armor with a Luban Lock, and waited until night to test them.
  • Su Hao launched himself into the sky with Burst Runes, then used Little Light to record flight data as he practiced maneuvers above the clouds.
  • The seven Martial Artists could not see Su Hao, though Old Cao's Perception Rune continued to track his changing direction.
  • Su Hao descended in Silent Flight Mode, locked onto Martial Artist Number Four, and killed Old Cao with a sudden aerial strike.
  • The remaining Martial Artists decided that five of them would serve as bait while Old Crane searched for a chance to defeat Su Hao.
