Fairy Feng Ling entered the story as the Wind-Bell Fairy, a Moon-Gazing Valley cultivator who selected Feng Wei and Huang Guilai as disciples. She renamed Huang Guilai Feng Cheng and established him as Feng Wei's junior brother. 346

As Feng Wei's cultivation rapidly surpassed ordinary expectations, she taught him the basics of Heart-Mind Intent, spirit-qi perception, Qi Induction, and the importance of preserving one's original intention against inner demons. His progress repeatedly left her stunned, but she continued fulfilling her responsibilities as his master. 349 350 352

She later urged Feng Wei to conceal his exceptional talent and postpone Foundation Establishment for two years, fearing that premature attention from sect elders could endanger him. In exchange for his restraint, she agreed to provide cultivation methods, access to other disciplines, and an independent place for his cave dwelling. 358 359
