Overview

The Diary Instance is an exclusive copy of Wei Feng's diary granted to multiple women across the Douluo Continent. It allows its owner to read Wei Feng's diary entries and, after its official functions activate, receive rewards tied to name mentions, diary-viewing records, lotteries, and quests. 1 23 34

Each known instance identifies itself as belonging exclusively to its holder; Liu Erlong's copy, for example, manifests as “Wei Feng's Diary Instance (Exclusive to Liu Erlong)”. 110 111 The instances may reside within an owner's sea of consciousness, merge into the body as light, or appear physically as black-backed, gold-trimmed books. 23 110

History

Qian Renxue receives an instance before the diary's formal activation. When she attempts to put it away, it opens by itself, allowing her to read Wei Feng's entries. 1 By the time Dugu Yan obtains hers, the instance has merged into her body and provides information concerning future events and people connected to her. 23

After Wei Feng completes three consecutive diary entries and mentions one person more than ten times in a single day, all holders hear an announcement that the Diary Instance's official functions have activated. 33 The activation changes the instances from passive readers of Wei Feng's entries into a continent-wide reward system. 34
