Danzo's Interception

Uchiha Toko's mission was to head to the northwestern border and eliminate spies from the Land of Earth.

After leaving the village, the three of them picked up speed and rushed toward the mission area.

However, before they reached their destination, figures wearing masks of various colors surrounded them from all directions, forming an encirclement in the blink of an eye.

"Anbu?" Uchiha Inaho's expression tightened as he studied their attire.

"No, not Anbu. Root." Uchiha Toko remained calm as he drew his long blade from his back. "Still, prepare for battle."

"Damn it! What does the village mean by this? They're actually attacking their own ninja?" Uchiha Saito said indignantly as he drew a kunai.

"Uchiha Clan traitor Uchiha Toko, today this old man will eliminate you, a destabilizing element, for the village." Danzo's sinister voice rang out, but when Uchiha Toko looked around, he saw no sign of Danzo.

"A rat that hides its head and shows its tail dares to spout such nonsense here?" Uchiha Toko said disdainfully.

"Uchiha Toko, put away your little tricks. You want to force this old man to show himself so you can use the Dojutsu you stole from Uchiha Shisui on me. Unfortunately, Uchiha Shisui has already confessed everything. The village knows all about your plan to seize his Dojutsu and rebel. Why haven't you surrendered yet?"

"Douhuan, what does he mean?" Uchiha Inaho asked in confusion.

"This isn't the time for that." Lightning crackled around Uchiha Toko, accompanied by intermittent explosions. "Let's deal with these rats first."

"Understood!" Uchiha Inaho and Uchiha Saito nodded. Standing back-to-back with Uchiha Toko, they formed a defensive triangle and each made hand seals. "Fire Style: Great Fire Dragon Technique."

Two enormous fire dragons charged into the approaching Root force. The explosive heat wave immediately swallowed several Root ninja at the forefront. Though Danzo had brought elites to surround and kill Uchiha Toko, Inaho and Saito were both outstanding members of the Uchiha Clan and geniuses who had awakened Two Tomoe. As for Uchiha Toko, his response was even more direct: nine blue Lightning Balls containing terrifying Chakra condensed in an instant, then crushed forward in different directions.

Lightning Style: Lightning Ball, one of the most basic Lightning Style techniques, a technique even some lightning-natured Konoha genin could skillfully wield, displayed such terrifying might in Uchiha Toko's hands.

In the blink of an eye, more than ten Root ninja were swallowed by the Lightning Balls, leaving not even bones behind. Yet Root had long since lost every trace of individual will under Danzo's brainwashing. Their comrades' deaths did not stop them. Instead, they continued charging fearlessly at the three, while their Water Style and Wind Style users began casting techniques, intending to subdue them through elemental advantage.

"Uchiha Toko, after killing Anbu ninja, are you planning to betray the village?" Danzo's voice rang out again.

His answer came in the form of several thigh-thick bolts of lightning descending from the sky, striking the areas where the Root ninja had gathered with perfect precision. The exploding lightning instantly claimed more Root lives, while the Wind Style and Water Style techniques they had unleashed were completely neutralized by six Deep Blue Lightning Balls Uchiha Toko had formed, spinning at high speed around the three of them.

"Still refusing to show yourself, Lord Danzo?" Uchiha Toko said. "Or do you think they can keep me here?"

"Uchiha Toko, don't waste your effort. Trying to control this old man is nothing but wishful thinking," Danzo snorted coldly.

"Lord Danzo, don't you think you're overestimating yourself?" Uchiha Toko said with a soft laugh as he effortlessly continued casting techniques and harvesting Root ninja lives. "You're merely a rat that cannot bear the light, forced to live in sewers all day, capable of being discarded by Sarutobi Hiruzen at any moment. You're not worthy of a divine technique like Kotoamatsukami."

Just then, several massive trees shot into the sky and formed a gigantic hand in midair, descending over the area where the three stood.

The previous attacks had merely been meant to exhaust their Chakra. The true killing move was Danzo's real trump card, which he had kept hidden in the dark.

"Wood Style?" Uchiha Inaho was utterly shocked. With the Uchiha Clan's knowledge, he naturally recognized the origins of this technique.

The two instinctively unleashed techniques in an attempt to stop the massive hand descending from above, but their attacks failed to leave even a mark on it.

At that moment, Uchiha Toko slowly spoke. "Stand behind me."

In an instant, the Three Tomoe in Uchiha Toko's eyes spun rapidly and transformed into the Mangekyō Sharingan. Pitch-black Eye Power surged from his eyes, enveloping the three of them before forming a colossal black warrior god covered in azure-blue curse markings.

Uchiha Toko's Eye Power and explosive lightning-natured Chakra gathered in the warrior god's hand, becoming a Deep Blue greatsword that cleaved the gigantic wooden palm falling from above into two with a single slash.

"Elder Danzo, have you had enough?" Uchiha Toko said coldly. "Do you know why I didn't use the ultimate power of our Uchiha Clan from the start? Because I intended to bury all of you here."

As Uchiha Toko spoke, the sky overhead had already darkened. The vapor evaporated by the earlier clash between Fire Style and Water Style had formed vast dark clouds above, where an immense amount of energy compressed without end. After everyone present looked up, only terror remained on their faces. Though Root ninja had largely ceased to possess anything like humanity, the helplessness they felt before such heavenly might was the instinct of every living creature.

"Lightning Style: Kirin." Uchiha Toko softly called out the technique's name. Then, apart from the three standing at the center of the battlefield, a faint spark of electricity flashed beneath everyone's feet. These sparks were so weak that even ordinary people would only feel pain from them, but at this moment, they had become the death warrants of everyone present.

The azure beast formed from lightning descended from the heavens, and lightning filled the sky, instantly engulfing the entire area. Faced with lightning that carried the might of heaven itself, the Root ninja had nowhere to flee. Only in one corner did layer upon layer of Wood Pillar Walls rise, barely blocking the descending lightning through sheer numbers.

Several minutes later, the lightning finally subsided, and a sudden downpour fell, washing away the blood stench that had filled the air.

In the corner where the Wood Pillar Walls had risen, the final wall collapsed with a crash, revealing two figures inside. One masked man fell heavily to the ground, his hands still held in a hand seal, while the other supported himself with a cane, one arm hanging before him, completely wrapped in bandages.

"Found you, Elder Danzo." Uchiha Toko smiled brilliantly from within Susanoo.
