• The examinees completed the survival test, where Sasuke formed an alliance with Kurotsuchi and organized Konoha teams to control which squads advanced.
• Sasuke and Shikamaru’s forces defeated Kumogakure squads in the exam, but A’s agents kidnapped Konohamaru as the exams ended.
• Uchiha Toko confronted A while Sasuke, Naruto, Neji, and Deidara pursued the kidnappers, and the search grew into a battle between Konoha and Kumogakure.
• After seeing Konoha’s losses, Naruto entered the Five Tails state and attacked Kumogakure’s forces, while Toko forced the kidnapper to reveal Konohamaru’s location.
• Toko exchanged A for Konohamaru, then fought Kumogakure’s Jinchuriki and forced the village’s surviving troops to surrender and accept Chakra seals.

Naruto left Konoha to protect civilians from the coming war, while Sasuke pursued him and the two fought at the Valley of the End. Naruto then helped Temari challenge Seki Issai in Sunagakure and traveled with Gaara and Jiraiya to the past, where Minato sought to stop Anrokuzan’s puppets.

• Minato and Naruto rescued Roran civilians from Anrokuzan’s puppet factory, and Naruto defeated Anrokuzan with Kurama’s power before Gaara set out to visit Sunagakure.
• After Kumogakure’s defeat, A faced unrest as Donald campaigned against Mabui for Raikage, while Uchiha Toko observed the growing political crisis.
• Tobirama Senju recognized that Toko was preparing Konoha for war, joined his advisory department, and learned how A’s rule could turn Kumogakure’s civilians against their own leaders.
• Naruto and Gaara helped villages in the Land of Rain, where Kara’s Artificial Humans attacked them before Nagato and Jiraiya helped defeat the squad.

Uchiha Toko led Konoha through a widening war, defeated the summit ambush, and helped bring several nations into a new order. As Ōtsutsuki Isshiki remained a threat, Toko manipulated Madara’s resurrection and prepared a staged battle to draw out another enemy.

• Uchiha Toko declared war on the Land of Earth, the Land of Lightning, and the Rebellion Army of the Land of Water, while Naruto chose to strike the Land of Lightning’s Feudal Lord from behind enemy lines.
• Neji awakened the Tenseigan, defeated Toneri, and helped destroy the Demonic Statue, while Toko kept the Eye of the Moon Plan moving and Black Zetsu was captured by A Fei and the White Zetsu.
• Konoha’s forces fought Iwagakure at the Land of Grass border, where Hashirama Senju and Neji helped defeat Ōtsutsuki Isshiki and end the Impure World Reincarnation battle.
• Toko revived Madara Uchiha and persuaded him to help with the Infinite Tsukuyomi, then sent Kakashi to defeat Mei Terumi’s forces and capture her.
• Toko traveled to the Five Kage Summit, saw through the ambush Genjutsu, killed A, and forced Ōnoki and Mifune to surrender.
