Chen Xu had not taken off the Exoskeleton Mechanical Arm. By now, he wore it even while eating, except when he slept. After so long, he had gotten used to it and no longer found it inconvenient.
Amid the blaring alarms, the two headed toward the Control Center.
At a corner, they ran into 2003. It said anxiously, "Chen Xu, Xia-jiejie, this is bad. It's a Beast Invasion alarm."

If only one or two beasts had appeared, S01 should not have needed to sound the alarm.
Could a large horde of beasts be attacking? Chen Xu suddenly recalled the group of beasts they had encountered on their way to Shelter C332 last time. His heart tightened. It couldn't be such a coincidence, could it?

There was a weight in S01's voice that had not been there before. "The early-warning radar just sounded an alert. A group of beasts is approaching the shelter. Their number exceeds five hundred. I would like to request your assistance in defending against their attack."
Hearing that the number was even greater than expected, Chen Xu's expression darkened. He asked, "What species are they?"
