Background / History

The Demon Abyss is an exceedingly dangerous realm whose entrances are scattered throughout the world. Most entrances are sealed, but cracks at an entrance connected to the West Sea Islands allowed large numbers of its creatures to escape, prompting a joint response from the Xi Sect, Profound Pill Sect, and Weak Water Sect. 231

In the ancient era, the Demon Abyss contended with the Taixu Great Emperor and nearly prevailed. The first three layers survived near-destruction by relying on the rules of numerous forbidden zones to obstruct the Great Emperor's power. 297

Following the Taixu Great Emperor's fall, a hidden Demon Abyss Quasi-Emperor pledged allegiance to High-Dimensional Beings. With their resources, several perfected Supreme Saint Realm Demon Abyss Holy Masters became Quasi-Emperors, allowing the Demon Abyss to wage war against Taixu Heaven. 339

Major Events

West Sea Islands Breach

A cracked entrance connected to the Tenth Layer released numerous Demon Abyss creatures. Saint Realm creatures guarded the other side of the entrance, requiring human Martial Saints to enter the Demon Abyss and hold them back while a Seal Formation Disk was deployed. 231 232

Li Changsheng activated the sealing disk but was struck by a peak Emperor Realm creature and dragged into the Demon Abyss by spatial turbulence. The completed seal prevented Saint Realm creatures from escaping and closed the entrance behind him. 233

Tenth Layer Infiltration

After arriving in the Tenth Layer, Li Changsheng disguised himself as a transformed serpent-type creature using the Myriad Transformations Demon Forging Art. He joined Crimson Nether Mountain as a minor leader while seeking a route out of the Demon Abyss. 235

The Crimson Nether Lord later sent more than three hundred Dharma Aspect Realm creatures into the Ten-Armed Abyss Lord’s ruins, marking them and demanding valuable discoveries. Many died to formations, Demon Worms, and other dangers. 237 238

Eighteenth Layer Battlefield

The Demon Eye Abyss Lord selected elite fighters from the Tenth Layer and placed the Blood Demon Curse on them to ensure obedience. The curse could track traitors across the Demon Abyss and erupted every ten years unless removed by its caster. 255

After entering the Eighteenth Layer, Li Changsheng removed his curse and killed the Demon Eye Abyss Lord’s six Divine Body-level protégés, including one of the Abyss Lord’s descendants. 257 258

War Against Taixu Heaven

The Demon Abyss became a High-Dimensional Being-backed force after the Taixu Great Emperor’s fall. Its Supreme Saint Realm population exceeds Taixu Heaven’s, while multiple Demon Abyss experts advanced to the Quasi-Emperor Realm with outside assistance. 339
