Background

Jie La Er was a newly recruited Knight before becoming captain of the Evening Star Squad. In Year 236, he led Lyra’s elite Evening Star Squad into the deepest part of the Contaminated Land without orders; the entire squad was believed wiped out, while Jie La Er alone returned claiming to have lost his memories. Lyra branded the event its most heinous betrayal and demoted him from the Exploration Unit to the Guard Unit. 75

Before the incident, he adopted Ian and Ina after their parents died in a contamination accident. Ian later joined the Evening Star Squad, while Ina remained devoted to Jie La Er despite the accusations surrounding him. 106 130
