Obito's grandmother died.

Obito wept bitterly as he personally buried his last remaining relative.

"Everyone dies, Obito. Life passes through generation after generation."

Genitsu patted Obito on the shoulder and let out a sigh.

Obito had no idea that he was mourning Madara at that very moment. Even the corpse being buried was merely a disguised White Zetsu.

"I know, I know. From now on, I have no family left... Genitsu, do you think the Pure Land really exists? Is there really a place where my grandmother can rest in peace?"

Obito cried until his eyes were swollen, covering his face with both hands.

"The Pure Land? Of course it exists. Every soul from this world goes there. Perhaps the two of you will meet again someday..."

Genitsu comforted him.

The Pure Land held far more than Obito's grandmother. Even the Sage of Six Paths resided there. All dead souls, along with vanished Chakra, ultimately gathered in the Pure Land.

Genitsu had always harbored a suspicion about the Pure Land. If he were to reclaim Chakra, then the Chakra of the dead spirits in the Pure Land would clearly be an unavoidable part of it.

Whether that guess was true or not, however, could only be confirmed after Genitsu personally fought his way into the Pure Land and took a look.

If it was true, that would be very interesting.

"The Pure Land..."

Obito clenched his fists and murmured under his breath.

"By the way, Obito, did Grandma say anything before she passed?" Genitsu asked, as though casually.

"Huh? She did say a whole lot. Grandma was fiercely denouncing the ugliness of this world... Maybe she read too many of your papers, Genitsu, but I thought her writing was pretty terrible. I barely felt anything inside... Boohoohoo."
