Arc 4The Godzilla Cloak and Void

Genitsu helped Konoha defeat the Hidden Mist and secretly shaped events around Akatsuki, while his experiments and schemes transformed him into a powerful figure feared across the Shinobi World. After saving Might Duy through Planet Godzilla’s power and wiping out most of the Mist Seven Swordsmen as Void, Genitsu was promoted and sent to reinforce Orochimaru at Kikyō Pass.

  • Genitsu’s Radiation Realm weakened Hidden Mist’s forces, and his Godzilla Cloak stopped and returned the Three-Tails’ Tailed Beast Ball before he and Jiraiya defeated the beast and captured the Third Mizukage.
  • After Konoha’s eastern-front victory, Genitsu returned home, studied a Byakugan, and gave Iroha a transplanted main-family eye despite the Hyuga clan’s objections.
  • Genitsu met Obito in Madara’s cavern, helped turn Obito against his former life, and joined Obito’s efforts to bring Nagato and the Rinnegan into their plans.
  • At Hanzo’s meeting, Genitsu pushed Yahiko toward sacrificing himself, then stole Yahiko’s corpse as Nagato summoned the Demonic Statue and established a new Akatsuki with Obito and Zetsu.
  • Might Duy opened the Gate of Death to kill two of the Mist Seven Swordsmen, and Genitsu used Planet Godzilla’s tissue to preserve him while presenting a White Zetsu as his burned body.
  • As Void, Genitsu hunted down and killed most of the remaining Mist Seven Swordsmen, but let Kisame escape, and reports of a Wood Release fighter spread through the Shinobi World.
  • Genitsu warned Fugaku against revealing his Mangekyō powers, and Planet Godzilla shattered Fugaku’s attempt to see Genitsu’s future, and Jiraiya also learned that an unknown creature had disrupted fate.
  • The Third Hokage promoted Genitsu to jonin and sent him to reinforce Orochimaru at Kikyō Pass, where Orochimaru showed interest in Genitsu’s Bloodline Limit and Anko asked him to restore her sense of taste.
Chapters 76–102 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 76Eastern Front Decisive Battle

Genitsu captured Kisame, stabilized Kazue’s dangerous cell growth, and tried to recruit Kisame for his plans to reshape the world. As the opposing forces assembled, the Eastern Front Decisive Battle began, and Genitsu sensed the Three-Tails’ Chakra.

  • Genitsu captured Kisame, healed his injuries, and forced him to disguise himself as a Root member.
  • Genitsu suppressed Kazue’s proliferating cells, and Kazue said she hoped awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan could cure her blindness.
  • Genitsu tried to recruit Kisame, who rejected his offer, so Genitsu buried him alive for later use.
  • More than ten thousand ninja gathered as the Eastern Front Decisive Battle began, and Fugaku and Genitsu hoped it would bring peace closer.
  • Genitsu sensed the Three-Tails’ Chakra and reacted with surprise.

Ch. 78Radiation Realm

Genitsu deployed his Radiation Realm across the battlefield during the eastern-front battle between Konoha and Hidden Mist. Hidden Mist ninja mistook the deadly fog for their own terrain advantage, but soon began suffering unexplained injuries.

  • Genitsu suspected Godzilla's interest in Chakra might draw him into the struggle over the Tailed Beasts.
  • The Third Mizukage ordered Genji and Yagura to lead Hidden Mist's forces against Konoha while the Seven Ninja Swordsmen handled assassinations.
  • Hidden Mist launched an attack under cover of dense fog, and Konoha's Wind Release users tried to clear it as the battle erupted.
  • Jiraiya told Genitsu to poison as many enemies as possible, and Genitsu created his Radiation Realm by mixing radiation clouds into the mist.
  • Hidden Mist ninja entered the thickest fog to hunt Konoha's troops, then began coughing blood and realizing their bodies were under attack.

Ch. 79Stirring Restlessly

Genitsu’s radioactive mist weakened the Hidden Mist forces and gave Konoha the advantage, forcing the Third Mizukage and Yagura to enter the fight. Jiraiya summoned Fukasaku and Shima to face the Three-Tails Jinchuriki, while Genitsu recognized that the sages could gather natural energy.

  • Hidden Mist ninja fell ill and weakened in Genitsu’s mist, while Konoha’s forces gained ground against them.
  • Jiraiya praised Genitsu’s technique, and Genitsu warned that the Hidden Mist leaders would soon take countermeasures.
  • The Third Mizukage partially transformed and charged into battle, but Torifu Akimichi knocked him back as Yagura engaged Torifu.
  • Jiraiya confronted the Third Mizukage and summoned Fukasaku and Shima, who recalled their mission to investigate a strange creature that might disrupt fate.
  • Genitsu watched the sages and identified their ability to gather natural energy for Sage Jutsu Chakra.

Ch. 80Death, Death, Death

Genitsu’s Radiation Realm devastated the Hidden Mist forces as Konoha’s fighters held the Mist Seven Swordsmen back and Might Duy opened the Seventh Gate. The Third Mizukage gathered chakra for a Tailed Beast Ball aimed at Genitsu, leaving Jiraiya to realize the real target too late.

  • Genitsu ordered Might Duy to use no more than seven gates, and Duy opened the Seventh Gate and knocked Munashi Jinpachi away with a kick.
  • Fugaku and Hizashi recognized Duy’s power as Konoha’s forces rallied around Genitsu while the Radiation Realm killed and weakened Hidden Mist ninja.
  • Jiraiya urged the Third Mizukage to end the battle, but the Mizukage gathered chakra instead of completing his Tailed Beast transformation.
  • Jiraiya began preparing Sage Mode, then realized the Third Mizukage had been baiting him to launch a Tailed Beast Ball at Genitsu.

Ch. 81Godzilla Cloak!!

Genitsu faced a Tailed Beast Ball fired by the Three-Tails Jinchuriki and formed a deeper connection with Planet Godzilla. As the attack reached him, he manifested Godzilla Cloak and stopped the Tailed Beast Ball with a giant claw.

  • The Three-Tails Jinchuriki redirected its gathered Chakra and fired a Tailed Beast Ball at Genitsu.
  • Jiraiya, Fugaku, and Kazue reacted to the attack, while Fugaku told Shisui to watch how they had blocked Tailed Beast Balls before.
  • Genitsu connected with Planet Godzilla and asked to borrow its body in exchange for finding a way to obtain Tailed Beast Chakra.
  • Dark matter and unknown Chakra covered Genitsu as Godzilla Cloak emerged.
  • Genitsu caught the Tailed Beast Ball in his giant claw, stopping it before it could destroy the surrounding area.

Ch. 83Is He a Jinchuriki Too?!

Genitsu used his Godzilla Transformation to catch and hurl back the Third Mizukage’s Tailed Beast Ball, shocking both armies. As the Mizukage fully transformed into the Three-Tails, Genitsu unleashed his strongest White Hot Light and joined Jiraiya in the fight.

  • Genitsu revealed his Godzilla Cloak, told Kazue to dismiss Izanagi, and threw the Third Mizukage’s Tailed Beast Ball back at him.
  • The returning blast struck the Third Mizukage and damaged the Hidden Mist forces, while Jiraiya wondered whether Genitsu’s transformation was another Forbidden Technique.
  • The Third Mizukage fully transformed into the Three-Tails, and Madara Uchiha became interested in Genitsu’s Companion Beast.
  • Jiraiya entered Sage Mode and attacked the Three-Tails with an Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan, but its shell proved tough.
  • Genitsu struck the Three-Tails with his strongest White Hot Light, then landed beside Jiraiya and offered to help fight it.

Ch. 84Is It Too Much to Cut Off a Tail? (2/10)

Genitsu, Jiraiya, and the Toad Sages fought the Three-Tails, while Genitsu used his clones and Godzilla Cloak to help overwhelm it. As the Three-Tails was engulfed by their attacks, Genitsu slipped behind it and prepared to cut off a tail.

  • Jiraiya and the Toad Sages attacked the Three-Tails while Genitsu struck from the flank, and the Three-Tails fired a complete Tailed Beast Ball that they redirected with genjutsu.
  • Genitsu created three Nuclear Clones that formed Godzilla Cloaks with unfamiliar one-tailed silhouettes, confusing Jiraiya and the Toad Sages.
  • Jiraiya and the Toad Sages used Sage Art: Goemon as Genitsu fired Fourfold White Hot Light from four directions, engulfing the Three-Tails.
  • Genitsu secretly substituted a piece of flesh for his original body, appeared behind the Three-Tails, and prepared to cut off one of its tails.

Ch. 85Shisui Found His Faith

Genitsu defeated the Third Mizukage and captured him alive, forcing the Hidden Mist forces to retreat. Shisui, inspired by Genitsu’s conduct, decided to follow him in hopes of finding a way to bring peace between the Uchiha clan and the village.

  • Genitsu severed one of the Three-Tails’ tails and absorbed its Chakra through Godzilla, sensing that Godzilla had become more native to the world.
  • Jiraiya and Genitsu’s attacks defeated the Three-Tails and left the Third Mizukage severely burned, and Jiraiya took charge of the captive Kage.
  • Genitsu recalled his clones, secretly let Kisame escape, and returned toward the main camp as Konoha ninja gathered around him.
  • The Hidden Mist forces panicked at the Third Mizukage’s defeat, and the Mist Seven Swordsmen withdrew after pushing back the Hyuga and Uchiha clans.
  • Shisui awakened his two-tomoe Sharingan and decided that Genitsu, rather than Kazue, was the senior he wanted to emulate.

Ch. 86Shaking the Shinobi World

The Hidden Mist retreated after Konoha won the eastern front’s decisive battle, and Genitsu’s power drew attention across the Shinobi World. In Konoha, the leadership celebrated the victory and debated Genitsu’s Forbidden Techniques and Might Duy’s Eight Gates, leaving further decisions until Genitsu returned.

  • Genji and Yagura rescued the gravely wounded Third Mizukage and retreated as the Hidden Mist forces fled.
  • Jiraiya and the toad sages discussed the Great Toad Sage’s warning before the sages vanished, while Jiraiya worried about the cost of Genitsu’s Forbidden Techniques.
  • The eastern-front battle ended with Konoha victorious, and intelligence about Genitsu and his Chakra toxin spread among the village leaders of the Shinobi World.
  • Konoha celebrated the victory, and the Third Hokage and advisors discussed the losses, the eastern front’s stability, and Genitsu’s potentially shortened lifespan.
  • Danzo claimed responsibility for questioning Genitsu about his Forbidden Technique and insisted that Might Duy belonged to Root as Genitsu’s subordinate.
  • The Third Hokage postponed further discussion of Genitsu and Might Duy until Genitsu returned.

Ch. 87The Root’s Target: Akatsuki

Genitsu returned to Konoha to a public celebration for the eastern front’s victory, then visited Danzo and discussed the Byakugan and his artificial Tailed Beast experiments. Danzo assigned him a secret Root mission to meet Hanzo in the Land of Rain and eliminate Akatsuki.

  • Genitsu and the returning ninja entered Konoha to cheers, while Kurenai, Asuma, and Shisui reacted to his growing reputation.
  • Genitsu told Shisui that his actions were aimed at eternal peace, prompting Shisui to reconsider his narrow focus on clan and village conflict.
  • Genitsu brought the recovered Byakugan to Danzo and asked to study the Hyuga bloodline, which Danzo approved.
  • Danzo questioned Genitsu about his Tailed Beast-like technique and offered Root sealing methods to help him control the summoned beast.
  • Danzo ordered Genitsu to lead Root ninja to the Land of Rain on the twelfth of next month, meet Hanzo, and eliminate the local organization called Akatsuki.

Ch. 88The Dragon King Spits Water (6/10 Bonus Chapter for Alliance Leader Zaishan Xuzhongshi!)

Genitsu considered how to exploit Root’s coming mission against Akatsuki and explored how Godzilla’s power might lead to his own form of Wood Release. He ordered Might Duy and Might Guy to stay in Konoha, then watched Guy’s Water Dragon Bullet Technique produce a tiny stream of water.

  • Genitsu pondered killing Yahiko and weighed what to do about Konan and Nagato as Root prepared to move against Akatsuki.
  • Genitsu experimented with the idea that further control over Godzilla’s plant-like power could let him develop a unique Wood Release.
  • Genitsu told Might Duy and Might Guy to remain in Konoha to guard it and forbade Duy from opening the Gate of Death without permission.
  • Guy showed Genitsu the Water Release technique he had learned, using forty-four hand seals to spray a short stream of water at the sink.
  • Genitsu ordered Guy to replace the bowls and told Duy that Guy should focus on taijutsu and the Eight Gates.

Ch. 89Left Rinnegan, Right Tenseigan

Genitsu studied the Byakugan and tested whether radiation could awaken its genes, then transplanted a main-family Byakugan into Iroha after the Caged Bird Seal destroyed both of Iroha’s original eyes. Iroha survived with the new eye, and Genitsu turned his attention to settling matters with the Hyuga main family.

  • Genitsu researched the Byakugan’s genetic sequence and found that radiation could activate some genes, though the cells ultimately died without Chakra protection.
  • Genitsu summoned Iroha and offered him an experiment that could make him a genius but might kill him; Iroha agreed to become a more useful tool.
  • Genitsu exposed Iroha to radiation, but it failed to awaken his genes as it had for Kazue.
  • Iroha tried to remove his right eye for a Byakugan transplant, but the Caged Bird Seal destroyed both of his eyes while leaving his brain intact.
  • Genitsu transplanted a main-family Byakugan into Iroha’s right eye and healed him, then resolved to deal with the Hyuga main family.

Ch. 90Eternal Tenseigan (8/10 Bonus Chapter for Alliance Leader Zaisanxuzhongshi)

Genitsu brought Iroha, who had received the Byakugan taken from Ao, to the Hyuga Clan and defended the transplant against the main family. After leaving, Genitsu told Iroha he would help him escape the Caged Bird Seal completely and prepared to take him on a mission to the Land of Rain next month.

  • Hyuga Hiashi refused to act against Danzo or Genitsu until he heard Hizashi's advice, and the clan debated how to recover its Byakugan.
  • Genitsu arrived at the Hyuga Clan with Iroha, whose transplanted Byakugan shocked the main family and provoked them to threaten him with the Caged Bird Seal.
  • Genitsu revealed his powerful Godzilla Cloak and warned the Hyuga not to attack Iroha, while Hiashi ordered the main family to stand down.
  • Genitsu argued that the Byakugan remained with the Hyuga through Iroha and that it was his trophy to dispose of, then left the clan grounds with Iroha.
  • Genitsu told Iroha not to follow the clan's old ways and promised to find a way to free him completely from the Caged Bird Seal.
  • Genitsu considered the path to the Eternal Tenseigan and told Iroha to prepare to accompany him to the Land of Rain next month.

Ch. 91Obito's Death, Farewell, Obito

After hearing that Obito had died at Kannabi Bridge, Kazue noticed Genitsu’s calm reaction and waited for events to unfold. Genitsu traveled to Madara’s cavern, where he reunited with the living Obito and prepared to speak with Madara.

  • Kazue defeated Shisui in a training match and discussed Genitsu’s secret Root mission with him.
  • As Konoha celebrated the western front’s victory at Kannabi Bridge, news spread that Obito had died there.
  • Kazue found Genitsu practicing ninjutsu, and he predicted that news of the Third Mizukage’s death would come from the eastern front.
  • White Zetsu brought Genitsu’s scroll to Madara’s cavern, where Genitsu’s figure emerged from it.
  • Obito recognized Genitsu, excitedly embraced him, and babbled about being rescued before Madara told them to talk.

Ch. 92Kakuzu: Good Grief! (10/10 Bonus Chapter for Alliance Leader Zaisanxuzhongshi)

Genitsu discussed a reality-altering path to peace with Madara, who accepted him as an assistant to his plan while keeping Obito as his chosen successor. Near Konoha, Kakuzu mistook Genitsu’s clone for an easy bounty and carried off its severed head, believing he had earned a fortune.

  • Genitsu proposed using an undamaged form of Izanagi to correct reality, and Madara acknowledged the idea while telling him to leave Obito’s next instructions to Obito.
  • Madara decided Genitsu had the qualifications to assist his plan, though he still valued Obito as his successor and was willing to discard Genitsu if needed.
  • Kakuzu waited near Konoha for a week, hoping to claim the sixty-million-ryo bounty on Genitsu.
  • Genitsu offered Kakuzu ten million ryo to find a way to return twenty million, and Kakuzu eventually attacked him instead.
  • Kakuzu severed Genitsu’s clone’s head, confirmed it seemed real, and set off for a bounty exchange in the Land of Fire.

Ch. 93The Light of Rogue Ninja, Am I, Kakuzu, Going to Lose My Job?!

Genitsu used clones disguised as Kakuzu to collect bounties from the Land of Fire’s underground stations, then made the real Kakuzu take the blame. The bounty stations blacklisted Kakuzu, leaving him to wonder whether he had lost his job.

  • Genitsu realized his head could earn money, and his clone secretly took it back after Kakuzu claimed the bounty at No. 3 Bounty Station.
  • Genitsu obtained Root’s intelligence on the Land of Fire’s four bounty stations and sent clones disguised as Kakuzu to collect payment for his corpse.
  • Genitsu’s clones returned to the stations with more corpses, including those of Kitsuchi, Aburame Shibi, and Pakura, and drained their funds.
  • The bounty station managers discovered the corpses had vanished and learned from No. 3 Bounty Station that Kakuzu was a fraud, causing three stations to go bankrupt.
  • The real Kakuzu arrived at No. 3 Bounty Station to claim payment, but its manager denounced him, announced that the stations had blacklisted him, and fled.

Ch. 94Double Kamui and... Xu!

Madara manipulated Obito by convincing him that his friends and the world were false, while Genitsu confirmed the deception and helped push Obito toward awakening his Mangekyō Sharingan. Days later, Obito and Genitsu joined forces to travel to the Land of Rain, and Genitsu created a disguised clone named Void.

  • Madara told Obito that Genitsu had abandoned the Will of Fire and that his friends treated him as a tool.
  • Genitsu met the grieving Kakashi and Rin after they returned to Konoha, then encountered Obito in a roadside shop.
  • At the Uchiha clan's cemetery, Genitsu showed Obito that his supposed grandmother was a White Zetsu and told him that his family and friends were false.
  • Obito awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan and used Susanoo against Genitsu, but withdrew it and vanished with Dual Kamui.
  • Several days later, Obito told Genitsu to prepare for their journey to the Land of Rain, and Genitsu created a masked Nuclear Release Clone called Void.

Ch. 95Nagato: Who Is Void?!

Obito, Zetsu, and Genitsu confronted Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan in the Land of Rain, revealing their interest in Nagato’s Rinnegan. After the meeting ended without Nagato joining them, Genitsu told Obito he would return with Root’s ninja and make Nagato feel pain.

  • Obito explained to Genitsu and Zetsu that they needed to control Nagato and the Rinnegan to capture the Tailed Beasts.
  • Obito introduced himself to Yahiko’s group as Uchiha Madara and urged Nagato to accept his mission of bringing peace, but Yahiko refused to hand Nagato over.
  • Konan attacked Genitsu with paper shuriken, but he evaded them by contracting parts of his body and emerged unharmed.
  • Obito and his companions departed after warning Nagato that he would one day seek them out.
  • Genitsu told Obito he planned to return to the Land of Rain with Root’s ninja and make Nagato suffer so he would develop an independent will.

Ch. 96Transformation Technique! Blood Mingled with the Heavy Rain

Genitsu accompanied Hanzo to a supposed peace meeting with Akatsuki, where Hanzo betrayed Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan. After challenging Yahiko’s vision of peace, Genitsu appeared to agree to Hanzo’s demand that he kill Yahiko, then used the Transformation Technique to disguise himself as Hanzo and force Nagato into a choice.

  • Genitsu studied ninjutsu, encountered Kushina at Teuchi’s ramen shop, and then led seven Root ninja, including Iroha, to the Land of Rain.
  • Yahiko celebrated Hanzo’s offer of peace talks, while Hanzo planned to use the meeting to eliminate Akatsuki.
  • Hanzo’s ninja abducted Konan and surrounded Yahiko and Nagato at the meeting place.
  • Genitsu argued that Yahiko’s ideals could not secure lasting peace, and Yahiko faltered as Nagato angrily challenged him.
  • Hanzo ordered Genitsu to prove Root’s sincerity by killing Yahiko, and Genitsu formed hand seals before Hanzo threw Nagato a kunai and demanded that he kill Yahiko to save Konan.

Ch. 97Dawn of Akatsuki, Cutting Off a Toe Isn't Too Much, Right?

Genitsu helped engineer Yahiko’s death, triggering Nagato’s Rinnegan power and the slaughter of Hanzo’s forces. After the founders formed a new Akatsuki, Nagato rejected Obito’s Infinite Tsukuyomi plan and set out to kill Hanzo and find Yahiko’s corpse and the subordinate who had destroyed Yahiko’s convictions.

  • Genitsu used Hanzo’s appearance to prompt Yahiko to sacrifice himself, then escaped with Root as Nagato erupted in grief and rage.
  • Nagato summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and killed many Rain ninja, forcing Hanzo to flee.
  • Genitsu attempted to damage the statue, then used another clone to steal Yahiko’s corpse before Nagato could stop him.
  • Obito and Zetsu met with Nagato, and the five of them established a new Akatsuki with rings made by Nagato.
  • Obito explained his Infinite Tsukuyomi plan, but Nagato chose instead to use the Tailed Beasts as a deterrent against the nations and villages.
  • Nagato’s first mission was to kill Hanzo, recover Yahiko’s corpse, and find the subordinate who had destroyed Yahiko’s convictions; Genitsu later worried that Void’s clone was too weak.

Ch. 98Gate of Death, Might Duy's Demise, and... Wood Release: Rebirth!

Genitsu learned that Might Duy had opened the Gate of Death to save Genma’s team from the Mist Seven Swordsmen. Duy was dying, so Genitsu began an untested technique that might transform him into an entirely new species.

  • Danzo told Genitsu that Hiruzen wanted control of Might Duy and advised him to keep the matter in mind.
  • Genitsu met Kazue and a ninja cat to arrange the purchase of experimental equipment, then canceled training when he learned Duy was on patrol.
  • The Mist Seven Swordsmen ambushed Genma’s team, and Duy arrived to protect them.
  • Duy opened the Gate of Death, killed Munashi Jinpachi and Jinin Akebino, and collapsed as his life faded.
  • Genitsu arrived, found Duy near death, and attempted Godzilla... Reproductive Restoration!

Ch. 99Black Wood Release Massacre!

Genitsu saved Might Duy by transforming his body with Planet Godzilla’s biological tissue, then sent Void after the surviving Seven Ninja Swordsmen. Void cornered Pipa Jūzō and Kushimaru Kuriarare with his black Wood Release, and their screams soon fell silent.

  • Genitsu sent Genma, Gekko Hayate, and Ebisu back to the village with the two swords, then used Planet Godzilla’s tissue to preserve and transform Might Duy.
  • Genitsu had White Zetsu impersonate Might Duy’s charred body while he hid the real Might Duy in a secret base.
  • Genitsu took on his masked identity as Void and tracked down the fleeing Seven Ninja Swordsmen.
  • Pipa Jūzō and Kushimaru Kuriarare attacked Void, but their weapons and threads failed to harm him.
  • Void revealed his black Wood Release, trapped Pipa Jūzō and Kushimaru Kuriarare in a forest of thorny trees, and killed them.

Ch. 100Terror of Wood Release, the Name Void

Void used his black Wood Release to kill the remaining Mist Seven Swordsmen, except Kisame, whom he let escape. Suikazan Fuguki reported the appearance of a Wood Release ninja to Kirigakure, and the news spread across the Shinobi World.

  • Void collected Pipa Jūzō and Kushimaru Kuriarare’s bodies, then tracked down and killed Raiga Kurosuki with his black Wood Release.
  • Void pursued the final two swordsmen to the sea, where his trees dragged the wielder of the Twin Blades underground and killed him.
  • Suikazan Fuguki fled to the shore and ordered Kisame Hoshigaki and several Hidden Mist ninja to hold Void off; Void killed the ninja but allowed Kisame to escape.
  • Kisame caught up with Suikazan Fuguki aboard the ship, and Suikazan accused him of surviving while the other Mist Seven Swordsmen died.
  • Kirigakure’s higher-ups ordered the report about Void kept secret, but news of the Wood Release ninja soon spread through the Shinobi World.

Ch. 101Heh, the Land of Fire Is Nothing Special (Pulling Up His Pants)

The Shinobi World and Konoha reacted to the emergence of Void, a powerful Wood Release user, while Genitsu concealed his connection to him and dealt with the aftermath of Might Duy’s death. Genitsu visited the Uchiha clan and gave Shisui an unexpected gift, while Kakuzu set off for the Land of Earth to seek bounty work.

  • The Third Tsuchikage and Konoha’s leaders investigated Void’s Wood Release, but Genitsu denied seeing Void or any Wood Release when questioned by the Third Hokage.
  • Genitsu visited Might Duy’s memorial, comforted Guy, and agreed to visit the Uchiha clan after Kazue told him Fugaku and Shisui had invited him.
  • Guy mourned his father and began training by running twenty laps around Konoha on his hands, counting Duy’s share as well.
  • Genitsu met Shisui at Fugaku’s home and gave him a book titled “Postpartum Depression Care for Sows” as a gift.
  • After the Number Three Bounty Station refused his corpses, Kakuzu decided to travel to the Land of Earth and seek work there.

Ch. 102Living Corpse Reincarnation Found a Target

Genitsu met Fugaku, whose attempt to use his Mangekyō Sharingan to glimpse Genitsu’s fate triggered a violent counterattack. Genitsu was promoted to jonin and sent to the western front, where Orochimaru greeted him with renewed interest in using him for Living Corpse Reincarnation.

  • Fugaku questioned Genitsu about Kazue’s Sharingan awakening and proposed that Genitsu act as a bridge between the Uchiha and Danzo, but Genitsu refused to commit and warned Fugaku not to reveal his Mangekyō powers.
  • Fugaku used his Mangekyō Sharingan to look into Genitsu’s future, but Planet Godzilla’s power shattered his vision and injured his eyes; Genitsu warned him not to try again.
  • The Great Toad Sage told Jiraiya that an unknown creature had shattered fate, and Jiraiya suspected Genitsu while wondering whether Nagato or Minato Namikaze was the Child of Prophecy.
  • The Third Hokage promoted Genitsu to jonin and ordered Genitsu Squad to reinforce Orochimaru at Kikyō Pass as Stone Ninja and Sand Ninja attacked the western front.
  • Genitsu reached Kikyō Castle with Root and Uchiha reinforcements, met the wounded Umino Kawamiya, and then went to Orochimaru’s command tent.
  • Orochimaru greeted Genitsu with interest in his Bloodline Limit and hinted that it suited his Living Corpse Reincarnation Technique, while Anko demanded that Genitsu restore her sense of taste.
