Background & History

Gu Yue Na is the Silver Dragon King, an avatar formed from the Dragon God. She carries wounds caused by the remnant Divine Power left when Asura separated the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings; the injury forced her into a prolonged slumber and continued to restrict her recovery after she awakened. 73

Ye Kai encountered her in the Star Dou Great Forest while she was severely injured. His Life Energy and six uses of Cleanse Heaven and Earth healed most of her physical damage, reducing her condition from severe to light injuries, but failed to remove the lingering Asura Divine Power. Gu Yue Na accepted the name she gave him and left the forest with Ye Kai, Xiao Wu, and Ah Yin. 73

To conceal her identity from divine scrutiny, Ye Kai gave her a Mysterious Necklace capable of hiding its wearer even from a God King. She became part of his household in Nuoding City, where she began experiencing ordinary human life, including food, markets, and social customs. 73 74

Initially hostile toward the idea of a Soul Master Academy because humans were taught to hunt Soul Beasts for rings, Gu Yue Na agreed to attend after Ye Kai argued that it would let her understand humanity directly. After several years living among humans, Gu Yue Na became less distant and joined Ye Kai's Eastern Radiance Academy team for its exchange-tournament journey. Gu Yue Na eventually confronted Ye Kai over the identity-concealing necklace, correctly concluding that he had known her true identity from the beginning.
