Background

Ye Kai is a transmigrator who arrived in the Douluo Continent as a very young child. Bibi Dong found him alone by a river and invited him to Spirit Hall; with nowhere else to go, he accepted and became her disciple. He later spent years training his body, studying most of Spirit Hall's library collection, and caring for Bibi Dong through small acts such as massages and cooking. 3

At his spirit awakening, Ye Kai awakened the God-level Tree of Life Martial Soul with Innate Full Soul Power. Although its traits suited a healer, he regarded its healing focus as a limitation and sought ways to build combat power through physical refinement, high-year ring absorption, and system-granted techniques. 2 3

He delayed acquiring his first spirit ring to strengthen his body, arguing that spirit-ring limits should depend on a Soul Master's physical condition rather than a universal rule.
