What Should I Do When My Teacher Is Too Cunning? (Please Read On)

After finishing his tutoring assignment, Mu Yue did not return to the Southern Forest. Instead, he went to his house in the Main City Area.

After quickly stir-frying two dishes for dinner, Mu Yue went out for a walk. After all, friendship would not come knocking if he stayed home.

The two were sitting on a park bench, chatting in the evening breeze.

"Hanyu." Minato greeted Mu Yue when he saw him.

"Are you here for a walk too?" Minato asked.

Mu Yue nodded, sat down on the nearby bench, and said, "I just finished dinner. I'm walking to help digest it."

"Hanyu, Minato said you're a Ninja Academy Teacher?" Kushina asked curiously.

No one in her circle of friends had ever been a Ninja Academy Teacher.

"Yes, I only started this year." Mu Yue replied with a smile.

"You only started this year, yet you must have already taught an impressive class," Minato said in surprise.

Kushina looked at Minato in confusion.

"Yesterday in the office, Lord Third Hokage said Hanyu's teaching skills were excellent. He even wanted Mu Yue to tutor his family," Minato explained.

"Getting such praise from Lord Third Hokage in your first year must mean your teaching results are exceptionally outstanding."

"Wow, the Third Old Man praised you that much?" Kushina was a little surprised as well.

Although she did not think particularly highly of Hiruzen Sarutobi, she trusted his judgment.

"Not really. The students themselves worked hard enough," Mu Yue said modestly, then added,

"Jonin Namikaze is the truly impressive one. He became a jonin at such a young age and is already an important fighting force for the village."

The three chatted for a while before Mu Yue took the lead in saying goodbye and leaving.

The two of them were a young couple taking a walk together. It would not be appropriate for him to stay too long. He needed to know moderation and slowly establish his persona.

The next day, Mu Yue still trained Obito, Might Guy, and the third student until noon. Then, in the afternoon, he went to Hiruzen Sarutobi's Home to teach Asuma and brought him to the riverside from yesterday.

After saying that, Mu Yue closed his eyes and rested his head against the tree, looking ready to sleep.

"Wait, what did you say? 100,000 Ryo?" Asuma's eyes instantly widened as he asked Mu Yue.

"Why are you making so much noise? Are you sleeping or not?" Mu Yue did not even open his eyes, looking like he was about to fall asleep.

"Don't sleep yet. Quickly tell me, what do you mean by 100,000 Ryo?" Asuma shook Mu Yue's body.

"What else could it be? It's the money for teaching you." Mu Yue opened his eyes and began talking nonsense with a straight face.

"Don't sleep. Let's start training." Asuma hurriedly called out, afraid that Mu Yue would fall asleep and be impossible to wake.

"Didn't you say you didn't sleep well last night, that you were tired and wanted to sleep? You're not tired now?" Mu Yue opened his eyes and smiled at Asuma.

Seeing Mu Yue's expression, Asuma knew he had been tricked. This guy had not been asleep at all!

"I've rested enough. Let's start training." Asuma said with a dark expression.

He planned to complain to his Old Mother when he got home. Wasn't hiring such an expensive tutor a waste of money? It was not like there were no jonin teachers.

"Fine, then. We'll still be training Chakra control today. Today's goal is to last fifteen minutes on the water." Mu Yue stood up and smiled.

The training was the same as yesterday. Asuma struggled to stay on the water's surface without falling in, while Mu Yue used Water Release from the shore to interfere with him.

Asuma was as motivated today as he had been yesterday. Yesterday, his motivation had been to prove his Old Man wrong; today, it was Mu Yue's absurdly inflated tutoring fee.

Looking at his Old Man's face, Asuma knew Mu Yue had tricked him.

"Ahhh! Damn Hanyu Mu Yue!" Asuma roared inwardly. Then he turned his grief and indignation into appetite, stuffing his mouth with food as he thought that no matter what, he could not fall for Mu Yue's schemes again next week.
