A hundred thousand years passed. The Immortal Dao rose across the Primordial World, spreading from hundreds to thousands, from thousands to tens of thousands, blossoming everywhere.

Earth Emperor Yuejian and Human Emperor Jiutou Clan saw the Five Elder Lords suppressing the Divine Path, yet merely turned a blind eye.

The Five Elder Lords spread the Immortal Dao far and wide; even the Postnatal Divine Path founded by Li Fan and the other three suffered a tremendous impact.

Great God Hongjun, meanwhile, spread the Immortal Dao throughout the Nine Heavens of the Primordial World, only to encounter obstruction from the Heavenly Emperor Faction.

The Da Luo Venerable Gods Tianling Clan and Juling Clan under the Heavenly Emperor openly declared that Grand Unity Heaven would not permit the Immortal Dao to enter and spread. This was territory under the Heavenly Emperor's command.

Heavenly Emperor Cangli possessed immense prestige throughout the Nine Heavens of the Primordial World. Grand Unity Heaven served as the weather vane, and Hongjun could not spread his teachings by force. After all, the newborn Immortal Dao was still weak, and Heavenly Emperor Cangli had to be guarded against.

Far away on Mount Zhou, Heavenly Emperor Cangli sensed his fortune declining. As the ancestor of the Divine Path, if the Divine Path were suppressed, his fortune would diminish further with time. In the worst-case scenario, he might even suffer backlash from the Divine Path!

Having calculated all this, Cangli ground his teeth and said, "Hongjun, since you insist on doing this, then don't blame me. Mount Zhou, whether you agree today or not, you will have to agree. The longer this drags on, the more variables there will be. I can't worry about all that anymore!"

The moment Cangli made his decision, Calamity Qi surged throughout the Primordial World. Weak gods had already been infiltrated by the Calamity Qi, their temperaments drastically changing—yet they themselves were unaware of it.

Li Fan was extremely sensitive to changes in Heaven and Earth. He sighed, "It is all a struggle for fortune. If you take one more bite, I get one bite less. Cause and effect are difficult to predict. The Nine Heavens of the Primordial World are the eye of this storm."

Hidden in the shadows, Xuan Tian saw that Great God Hongjun and Grand Unity Heaven had developed an irreconcilable conflict. His opportunity had arrived.

Xuan Tian secretly went to Central Jun Tian to visit Hongjun. Hongjun sent the gods of Central Jun Tian to receive Xuan Tian, wanting to see what medicine he was selling from his gourd.

Xuan Tian wore an angry expression. "Great God Hongjun, with Heavenly Emperor Cangli absent, mere Tianling Clan and Juling Clan actually dared to openly oppose you."

"I am willing to serve as the vanguard and teach those two a lesson. Great Divine Powers must not be insulted."

Hongjun understood Xuan Tian's intentions as well. Yet Tianling Clan and Juling Clan refused to yield to either soft or hard measures. The matter of spreading the Immortal Dao was already an arrow on the string; it had to be loosed.

Before Cangli returned, they had to turn it into an established fact. There was no time to worry about anything else!

Hongjun and Xuan Tian secretly reached an agreement. Both obtained what they wanted.

Li Fan saw the Grand Unity Supreme Xuan Tian of the Northern Realm openly supporting the Immortal Dao and opposing Grand Unity Heaven, raising the banner that all beings had the right to choose the Immortal Dao.

The Innate Deities of Grand Unity Heaven refused to accept this. Xuan Tian, Tianling Clan, and Juling Clan quarreled until the heavens and earth were turned upside down. A storm was on its way!

While Li Fan was watching the excitement, Goddess Wangshu emerged from seclusion.

"Goddess, have you broken through to Grand Unity Perfection?" Li Fan asked curiously.

Wangshu looked speechless. "How could the Twelve Heavens of Grand Unity be so easy to reach? Still, I gained much from this seclusion. I have now touched the threshold of Grand Unity Perfection."

Her eyes fixed tightly on Li Fan. "Why are you asking about my cultivation? Are you plotting something bad again? Settle down!"

"Grand Unity is the beginning of the boundless. To leap free of the River of Time, unite past, present, and future as one, and bring the Dao Fruit to perfection—how could that be easy?"

Li Fan then told Goddess Wangshu about the Five Elder Lords spreading the Immortal Dao, as well as Xuan Tian in the north refusing to remain lonely.

Wangshu raised her head, looking at the Star Sky. "The Five Elder Lords have officially torn all pretense with the Three Emperors. I only hope the situation does not spiral out of control before Cangli returns."

In the Northern Realm of the Nine Heavens, Old Ancestor Hongjun had come to preach the Dao. The countless living beings seated below yearned for the methods of the Immortal Dao.

In this God-Demon Era, the laws between Heaven and Earth were incomparably violent. Without a powerful origin, directly comprehending the laws of Heaven and Earth was exceedingly dangerous under the impact of those laws. Countless living beings had paid with their lives in pursuit of the Dao.

The weak all beings sincerely thanked the Grand Unity Supreme for spreading the Immortal Dao to them.

The preaching began—

"There was something formed in chaos, born before Heaven and Earth. Silent and empty, it stood alone and did not change, circling endlessly without exhaustion; it could be deemed the mother of Heaven..."

At the place of preaching, endless Great Dao Laws manifested. The true meaning of the Immortal Dao matched each being's own path of cultivation. Hongjun smiled at the sight. These were all seeds of the Immortal Dao.

The Dao voice contained supreme mysteries, setting the Heaven and Earth Laws trembling!

Heavenly flowers rained down, Golden Lotuses surged from the earth, and the mana within their bodies transformed into Immortal Dao power on its own, drawing Heaven and Earth essence together.

Every living being seized this opportunity to change their Fate, striving to absorb the Dao's resonance and improve their own aptitude.

A thousand years later, Hongjun's preaching ended. After greeting Xuan Tian, he departed.

Xuan Tian's face was sinister. "Now the situation is entirely under my control. Tianling Clan and Juling Clan, you brought death upon yourselves. Don't blame me for it."

Xuan Tian directly sent people to forcibly spread the Immortal Dao. The threshold of the Immortal Dao was low, and it truly benefited all beings.

The myriad spirits loved the Immortal Dao and no longer yearned for the Divine Path. Divine authority was certainly good, but there were too many wolves and too little meat; there simply was not enough to go around.

The Immortal Dao grew savagely throughout Grand Unity Heaven, and Tianling Clan and Juling Clan could do nothing about it.

This was merely the first step of Xuan Tian's plan. For the second, he intended to force a choice between two paths: the Divine Path or the Immortal Dao—one had to be chosen.

Hongjun had believed Xuan Tian only wanted the fortune of Grand Unity Heaven, which was why he had cooperated with him. But he had not expected this fellow to be so audacious as to seek to seize Grand Unity Heaven outright. Destiny Demon God was secretly obstructing the deductions of the Great Divine Powers.

Grand Unity Heaven undoubtedly contained contingencies left behind by Heavenly Emperor Cangli. The calamity had already begun, and Calamity Qi had silently invaded Xuan Tian's body.

Xuan Tian went completely mad. Succeed, or die trying. He directly dispatched the Immortal Dao army to attack Grand Unity Heaven.

The Immortal Dao army was very weak, but Xuan Tian wanted precisely to wear the skin of the Immortal Dao and achieve his own ends.

Seeing the situation spiral out of control, Tianling Clan asked Juling Clan to keep watch over Xuan Tian while he sought aid from the Earthly Dao Divine Kingdom and the Human Dao Hall of Heroes.

Earth Emperor Yuejian received Tianling Clan.

"Earth Emperor, I request that you control the chaos in the Nine Heavens."

Earth Emperor Yuejian said expressionlessly, "This is an internal conflict within your Nine Heavens. Moreover, both the Northern Realm and Grand Unity Heaven belong to the Heavenly Emperor Faction. It would not be convenient for me to intervene."

Having failed to obtain what he wanted, Tianling Clan hurried to the Human Dao Hall of Heroes to seek assistance.

The Human Emperor received the Tianling Clan, and the Tianling Clan voiced their request.

Human Emperor Jiutou Clan pondered. "The conflict between the Divine Dao and the Immortal Dao is a struggle of the Great Dao. This matter must be considered carefully. We'll discuss it once the Cangli Clan returns."

For Yuejian Clan and Jiutou Clan, both aspiring to the Hunyuan Grand Unity, the divine providence of the Divine Dao was important, but it was merely icing on the cake.

If they became too deeply embroiled in enmity with the Five Elder Lords and turned into obstacles on the path to their Hunyuan Grand Unity, it would be more loss than gain!

Within Grand Unity Heaven, the situation grew ever more chaotic. Li Fan and Goddess Wangshu sat securely in the Star Realm like anglers watching the water, drinking tea and discussing the Dao together.

Wangshu was somewhat puzzled. "We Supreme Star Gods have an agreement with the Cangli Clan. Shouldn't we help them now?"

Li Fan laid his plans with calm assurance. "For now, this is merely an internal struggle among the Heavenly Emperors. Xuan Tian's purpose will soon be exposed—whether he intends to promote the Immortal Dao or harbors other motives!"

"Grand Unity Heaven is in such turmoil; Chaos Demon Gods must be interfering from the shadows. Cang Tian, Qing Tian, and Huang Tian have coveted Grand Unity Heaven's Origin of Clarity for far more than a day or two. There's no way they would remain inactive."

Li Fan was waiting—waiting for a once-in-a-thousand-years opportunity to obtain the thing he needed most!
