Background / History

Dai Mubai is a prince of the Star Luo Empire. His childhood engagement to Zhu Zhuqing, the Grand Duke’s daughter, was tied to the imperial struggle for the throne; under those terms, the losing side would face death. He left Star Luo and eventually joined Shrek Academy, believing he would never meet Zhu Zhuqing again. 57

He first appears at the Rose Hotel accompanied by twin women, demanding a reserved room. When Tang San objects, Dai Mubai makes possession of the room contingent on a fight. Though initially dismissive, he becomes interested in Tang San after the latter withstands his pressure and displays unusual techniques. 22

Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing later mutually dissolve their engagement. Zhu Zhuqing cites her disappointment in his prior conduct, while Dai Mubai accepts that the throne struggle no longer determines their fates. They agree to remain only classmates. 57

Dai Mubai is a sixteen-year-old young man roughly 1.8 meters tall, with broad shoulders, a handsome but firm face, and waist-length straight golden hair. 22

He respects strength and can acknowledge defeat without evasion. After Ye Fan defeats him at the Soul Arena, he openly concedes that Ye Fan is stronger.
