Background / History

Qin was originally a member of the Blood Ring and one of the Flesh Alchemy Masters involved in developing the Blood Ring Curse Seal. She secretly left Blood Ring Fortress while seeking a way to prevent her daughter, Princess Christina, from becoming a Flesh Plague Matriarch. To conceal her departure, she left a personal maid wearing the queen's clothing and accessories as a decoy. 208

Operating publicly as Brandenburg's court advisor, Qin used her expertise to oppose the Blood Ring. She met Bai Pu while he was disguised as Dio Fulei and immediately recognized that his unusual physique and resistance to the Flesh Plague warranted study. 6 7

After examining Bai Pu, she correctly deduced that an externally injected substance within him acted as an antibody against the plague—later identified as Evolution Source Blood. Qin formed a practical alliance with him: he would supply blood and research cooperation, while she would help him develop his power and create an antibody against the Flesh Plague. 7

Although Bai Pu uncovered her Blood Ring origins, Qin's affection for him increased rather than diminished. Fearful that he would leave her world forever, she offered to become his servant once he was strong enough to surpass her, both to preserve their connection and to see his world. 11 12

Following Gustav's fall, Qin accepted responsibility as Christina's regent and Empress Dowager. She later became Bai Pu's Source Blood Apostle while remaining in the Flesh Plague world to protect, educate, and prepare Christina for rule. 216 218
