In Asgard's grand palace hall, vast and magnificent, the pillars and wall murals depicted the exploits of outstanding gods. Their honors were preserved within the palace hall for later generations to admire.

Hela followed Thor into the magnificent palace hall, her gaze sweeping nostalgically over Asgard's resplendent, majestic surroundings.

Some murals recounting the deeds of gods remained as pristine as new after all these years. Yet even though they appeared untouched and unworn, time had inevitably bestowed upon them the weathered, epic air of history, as though they were telling their own great legends.

Others were much newer, depicting the deeds of New Gods Hela had never seen. Newer still were the palace walls that had been shattered by the Dark Elves and rebuilt in repair.

Yet the accomplishments of a great commander like Hela, who had once conquered the Nine Realms with Odin, such illustrious deeds were not recorded in the slightest.

Hela's gaze swept over the dome, pausing there for an instant as a cold sneer curled across her lips. Then she lowered her eyes and looked toward Odin on the throne.

'Ssssh—'

Hela flicked both hands, and the two long black spikes in her hands shot past Thor in succession.

Thor's eyes widened in shock. He hurriedly reached out, trying to catch the black spikes flying past him toward Odin on the throne.

But it had happened too suddenly. He had not expected Hela to strike without even exchanging a few words, so he was a step too slow to catch the black spikes she had hurled.

Feeling the rippling air currents left behind by the black spikes piercing through the air in his palm, Thor's face turned terribly grim.

The one seated upon the throne of Asgard was not Odin, but Loki disguised as Odin.
