"Kill me!" Tony Stark's cheek was bruised, his face filled with rage. Grief and fury burned in his eyes, but his raised head remained unyielding. Hatred, anger, resistance, sorrow, disappointment, frustration, unwillingness—countless tangled emotions churned within him.
He had truly regarded He-El as a good friend, believing he had found a friend worthy of lifelong trust.
But when he learned that Nick Fury and the Ancient One had died at He-El's hands, Tony Stark was deeply grieved and found it impossible to believe.
In Tony Stark's heart, He-El possessed the radiance of a great man, a saint, a god walking among mortals—someone who led humanity toward an even brighter future.
He himself had felt immeasurably honored to have such a friend.

He-El had done too much for humanity. All of humanity, Earth, S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Avengers could never repay him. Tony Stark believed that if He-El had honestly revealed his predicament and said he needed the Infinity Stones to break his curse, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers would surely have supported him.
He-El would have remained humanity's shining beacon forward.
But He-El had chosen to kill the Ancient One and Nick Fury, causing Avengers members such as Steve Rogers, Clint Barton, Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner, and Tony Stark to lose their trust in him.
Tony Stark was heartbroken that his closest friend, He-El, had come to this point.
He hated that He-El had become someone willing to stop at nothing.
He should have been light, justice, humanity's precursor, a great man—a saint worshipped by humanity, a god
