At the desolate frontier of the universe, there was nothing—not even a trace of matter that could represent desolation.
There were no particles here, not even a speck of dust. It was absolute vacuum. This region, spanning trillions of light-years, was the universe's outer edge, its boundary.
Here, the light of all galaxies and stars could no longer reach.
This was a region of darkness. Only in the far distance beyond it drifted a vast red haze, spreading like thin mist.
He-El, Athena, and Zeus appeared here. Time and space formed an interlocking circle around them, encasing and protecting them.
Looking outward from this desolate frontier of the universe, it seemed as though a red mist were sweeping over from the heavens, spreading and surging toward them.
"Is this the boundary of the universe?" He-El gazed at the seemingly thin red mist rolling in from boundless distances, dissipating as it approached the universe.
The surging red mist was immensely majestic, like a massive ocean raising a tsunami that threatened to swallow the entire universe beneath its waves.
At the same time, this place was far too distant from anywhere with galaxies, matter, or particles. It was like a blank buffer zone separating the universe from the outside world, containing nothing at all.
It was truly too far away—so far that even the nearest galaxy could not possibly observe the red mist.
"Yes, Your Majesty. This is the boundary of the universe. The red mist transmitted from afar is Heavenly Blood." Zeus stood at He-El's side, his divine body restored to its imposing and majestic form. Clad in golden armor, he explained respectfully, "The universe constantly draws in Heavenly Blood to sustain its operation."
