"Why?"
Kolon Novo was deeply puzzled. He had seen many futures that favored him greatly. Why couldn't they be carried out?
For example, he could join forces with the fifty-two Source Universe Overseers and the Level Four Chief Overseer to solve Mandrak's problem. Then, instead of becoming Mandrak himself, someone else from the fifty-two Source Universes could become Mandrak, while he remained safely in his position as a Level Three Source Universe Overseer for a long time.
Or he could cooperate with He-El, quickly build up merit, and ultimately rise to Level Four Chief Overseer after overcoming countless dangers.
There was also the future where, because he oversaw a Source Universe, He-El helped him successfully separate the Source Universe under his charge, shocking the Monitors. He then became one of the Monitors' highest-ranking leaders. But after becoming a top leader, everything went dark... Kolon Novo could only understand it as his inability to know what the Monitors' uppermost ranks were like, leaving him unable to see that future.
"If you can see the future, others can see their own futures as well. The powerful can even see yours." Overseer Gladys Boye explained, "You can choose the future most beneficial to yourself, but what benefits you most may be the worst possible choice at a certain point for someone else.
"In five-dimensional space, when someone attacks you, it may seem sudden and completely without cause, but in truth, they already know either their own choice or yours.
"In five-dimensional space, what is attacked is the future, not any existence in the present."
Overseer Gladys Boye explained it as simply as she could.
Even so, five-dimensional space was not something that could be explained clearly so easily.
In five-dimensional space, where everyone could see countless versions of their own future, the entanglements
