The sun blazed overhead.

After resting for a while, He-El, Goku, and Bulma continued onward through the desert. Bulma watched the Dragon Ball's location and pointed them toward the next one.

"It's getting lively." As he walked, He-El turned to glance into the distance behind them. He saw Ashu and Mai piloting a single-soldier robot, following behind Yamcha and Puar.

Yamcha and Puar were ultimately unwilling to let He-El's group leave just like that. They decided to follow them and wait for a chance to rob them.

Off to the side of Yamcha and Puar's route, Ashu and Mai had finally learned of Emperor Pilaf's situation and confirmed that he had been kidnapped by He-El's group. They were now planning to snatch Emperor Pilaf back.

"What is it, He-El?" Bulma asked. She was behind He-El, covering herself with a sheet to keep out of the sun. She had been watching him closely, and when she noticed something unusual, she poked her head out from beneath the shade cloth.

"Nothing. Desert bandits have their eyes on us, along with Ashu and Mai behind them," He-El said.

"What? Those two dare come after us again?" Bulma instantly bristled and looked into the distance behind them, but she saw no one.

Still, she knew He-El would not lie. There had to be bandits, Ashu, Mai, and the others waiting for an opportunity to steal their Dragon Balls again.

"I didn't sense them," Goku said brightly. He was carrying Emperor Pilaf on his back as he ran alongside He-El, and they were moving at no slow pace. Yamcha, Puar, Ashu, and Mai were all far away, and Goku had not paid enough attention to sense them with Ki.
