The arena here was no ordinary arena. Two towering demon statues stood on either side with their mouths gaping wide, each extending a long stone tongue that formed a corridor. The battle would take place atop that tongue corridor.
"Where is this place?" Krillin stepped out from the mouth of one demon statue and jumped in fright.
Below the tongue corridor was a bubbling liquid like a poisonous swamp, a horrifying sight to behold.
"Cackle, cackle, cackle. This is the demons' toilet." Fortune Teller Baba took out a piece of bright red meat and released it, letting it fall into the poisonous swamp.
In an instant, the meat was poisoned and melted away by the swamp, leaving everyone aghast.
"There's a poisonous swamp below!" Bulma cried out in alarm.
"Krillin's in danger. He can't fall down there." Yamcha looked at the tongue corridor anxiously.
The third warrior had to defeat a third opponent even stronger than the previous two atop that tongue corridor. The difficulty was more than a little higher.
"Ah... ah..." Seeing the meat melt directly into the poisonous swamp, Krillin's legs went a little weak. He grabbed the teeth of the stone statue at the exit and leaned over to look down at the poisonous swamp.
He absolutely could not fall down there. It was far too dangerous below.
Krillin began to hold himself back.
"If you want to forfeit, it's not too late. You're still young. You don't want to die, do you?" Fortune Teller Baba urged him sinisterly.
