Asgard's royal palace was magnificent, heavy with majesty and an epic grandeur.
Loki wore golden armor, a horned helmet, and held a scepter as he sat imposingly upon the throne. His demeanor was effeminate, his face grim, his gaze full of hatred, and the curl of his lips cold and merciless.
"Mortals..." His tone was haughty and venomous.
In truth, Loki had not originally found it impossible to coexist with mortals. He had no particular objection to them, at least not to the point of scorning them so completely during ordinary conversation.
But then... He-El, whom he regarded as a mortal, had controlled Mjolnir and beaten him until his buttock bone cracked. That pain had been unforgettable.
Yet the humiliation had been even greater. Especially since Heimdall had witnessed it, leaving Loki, the newly crowned King of Gods, utterly disgraced and filled with grief and rage.
Although Heimdall had shown no outward change before or afterward, Loki had already decided that he was secretly laughing at him. Even when Heimdall voiced normal opinions, Loki took them as mockery, as though Heimdall were using that humiliating weakness to threaten him.
Therefore, when Heimdall refused to send the Destroyer down to deal with the mortals, Loki had taken it as rebellion and used the Casket of Ancient Winters to freeze him into an ice sculpture.
The emotions of gods were fiercer than those of mortals.
Their hatred and rage were more intense as well.
Loki believed that no god could tolerate being treated like that by a mere mortal.
Through the Destroyer, he watched He-El flee before it. His gloomy mood began to brighten, and the corners of his mouth could not help but rise.
Especially when he saw He-El being chased by energy beams, dodging and rolling like a clown,
