He-El slowly opened his eyes and found that he was no longer in the Life Creation Chamber aboard the Manta Ray Mothership.
He seemed to be standing atop the sky. Before him stood a grand, epic palace, its open doors as vast as planetary gates. Inside was a resplendent yet imposing hall. Upon the enormous pillars carved with ornate beams and paintings was Thor, whom He-El recognized, holding Mjolnir and commanding lightning.
Other gods were carved upon the sky-supporting pillars as well, displaying Asgard's bravest and most fearless side. There were also goddesses draped in alluring veils, charming and seductive enough to bewitch all living beings.
The hall was empty, yet it somehow felt full. At its far end sat Odin, giant-like, upon the throne of the King of the Gods.
Odin wore a golden eyepatch, his single visible eye seemingly half-lidded. His hair and long beard were white, and he wore an eagle-winged helm and golden armor. He held the eternal spear Gungnir, wore the golden ring Draupnir, and sat upon the supreme throne from which the Nine Realms could be seen. Two ferocious wolves slept at his feet, while two ravens perched upon his shoulders, their black eyes chilling to behold.
Leaning against the back of his throne, he seemed faintly languid yet infinitely majestic, his tall, powerful body holding up the heavens.
He-El gazed at him, then suddenly shook his head and laughed.
Or rather, he was still within the Life Creation Chamber aboard the Manta Ray Mothership. Odin had merely used the power of the King of Gods to pull him into his mental realm.
Who else but Odin could accomplish such a thing?
But... Odin should not have done this.
