Within Asgard's vast and magnificent great hall, everything around them seemed to slow. Loki's mouth had yet to close after speaking when Ancient One appeared before Odin, smiling peacefully at him.
"I failed!" Odin gripped the Eternal Spear, Gungnir, tightly in his left hand. His expression was grave as he raised his eyes to Ancient One.
"I'm not surprised." Ancient One wore a gentle expression. Dressed in yellow robes, she looked no different from before.
"I don't have much time after leaving the Dark Dimension. Dormammu has been watching me. Let's skip the small talk." Ancient One's gentle expression faded as she said calmly, "We'll do it my way."
Odin fell silent. He closed his eyes, drew a deep breath, and slowly exhaled. His single eye was cold and resolute. "Then we'll do as you say. There is no other way."
Before entering the Dark Dimension, Ancient One had sent Odin a message, asking him to carry out her plan.
But Odin had not believed Ancient One's plan was feasible. It was even insane, and it might make the curse within He-El's body even stronger—strong enough to swiftly devour the universe.
"Dormammu agreed?" Odin asked doubtfully.
Though he had not dealt much with someone from the Dark Dimension like Dormammu, would a being capable of ruling an entire dimension really be willing to give up that whole dimension?
It was the foundation of Dormammu's power, the capital that allowed him to stand tall among the dimensional planes.
"No." Ancient One replied calmly. "But he has no choice. He-El cannot lift the Dark Dimension's curse. No matter how unwilling Dormammu is, he will have to do it."
Dormammu had yet to find a way to return to Earth, and he had yet to ask He-El to lift the curse. Ancient One
