Although Kamar-Taj had previously lived in seclusion like an ancient magical faction, it still had internet access. It could use phones, computers, and search platforms to obtain information from the outside world.
Since He-El defeated Odin, the King of the Gods of Asgard, and took control of the Reality Stone, Earth had undergone explosive development. The internet, technology, and countless other fields were advancing at high speed, and every region of Earth was flourishing.
Yet Kamar-Taj alone shut out all of Earth's developments. Instead, it removed everything related to the internet and used magic for communication and daily convenience.
While Earth moved forward, Kamar-Taj seemed to be retreating, as though it wished to return to ancient life. However, the new Sorcerer Supreme, Baron Mordo, had opened up more possibilities and gathered Kamar-Taj's strength to develop more convenient spells, allowing Kamar-Taj to take a roundabout path forward.
No technology—magic replaced technology and the internet.
Now, scenes as wondrous as those from Harry Potter could be seen everywhere in Kamar-Taj.
Under Baron Mordo's leadership, Kamar-Taj had developed into a magical force from another angle. The Sorcerer Supreme no longer stood above all else, ruling through sheer force. Instead, Kamar-Taj's many sorcerers pooled their efforts to research all kinds of marvelous spells and defend Earth against invasions by outer demons.
Besides, the modern Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj was not as powerful as the previous Ancient One. He could not resist outer demons alone. This transformation was ultimately forced upon them by circumstances and necessity.
