Dark Energy gushed impatiently from Kaecilius's five orifices like a spring. Dense black mist, thick as ink, engulfed his entire body.
Dormammu had already sensed that the passage linking the Dark Dimension to Kaecilius had opened. He was eagerly expanding the passage, surging through it in a frenzy.
"Damn it, Mordo, get out of here!" Stephen Strange roared as he controlled Kaecilius, shattering the spell-rope binding Kaecilius in Baron Mordo's formation. An endless stream of Dark Energy poured through the passage from the Dark Dimension, while Kaecilius screamed amid the black fog.
There were Kaecilius's instinctive screams and shrieks, and Stephen Strange's furious roar at Mordo.
Stephen Strange did everything he could to slow the outpouring of Dark Energy. Nick Fury was right—they had all undertaken this with the expectation of sacrificing their lives. But he could accept sacrificing his own life; he could never bring himself to make the decision to drag Mordo into it and sacrifice his life for nothing.
Yet the Dark Energy pouring from Kaecilius's body toward the Dark Dimension passage continued to surge wildly. Dormammu on the other side of the Dark Dimension had already seen He-El and was forcing his way through at any cost. Even with all Stephen Strange's efforts to delay him, he could not stop him for long.
Mordo staggered back several steps before steadying himself. With a sweep of both hands, the golden whip formed by the spell formation in his hands shattered, its golden particles fading amid the pervasive black mist.
"Dormammu will be trapped in this space and unable to leave. Trust me, Mordo, get out of here!" Stephen Strange controlled Kaecilius and let out one final hoarse roar. His control shattered as though a string had snapped, and he could no longer stop the frantic outpouring
