Obito, Kakashi, and Nagato entered a parallel Shinobi World to assess it and prepare a path for the Empire, but they found poverty, political abuse, and a broken mission system. The group became entangled with Team 7 and Zabuza while Nagato traveled toward the Land of Fire’s capital, and the arc ended with Kakashi confronting Zabuza’s Water Clone.

• Uchiha Senju sent Obito Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and Nagato Uzumaki through the teleportation array, and they arrived at the Valley of the End in another world.
• Nagato investigated the famine in the Land of Rivers and questioned the world’s leaders, while Jiraiya persuaded him to visit the Land of Fire before judging it.
• Obito and Kakashi encountered Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke, and Obito fought the parallel Kakashi before revealing that the two Kakashis were counterparts.
• Obito learned that his counterpart had died young, that Sasuke’s brother Itachi had massacred the Uchiha Clan, and that the Senju and Uzumaki clans had been wiped out.
• Nagato saw civilians suffer under the Land of Fire’s system, revived the dead with a modified Impure World Reincarnation, and continued toward the capital with Jiraiya.
• Obito accepted Sasuke as his disciple, sealed his speech, and taught him the Empire Uchiha Body Refinement Technique while promising future study in the Empire.
• Obito and Kakashi challenged the shinobi mission system and agreed to help Tazuna by taking down Gato, while Obito sealed Naruto’s Chakra after Naruto attacked them.
• Zabuza trapped the group in the Hidden Mist Technique, and Kakashi dispersed the mist and struck a Zabuza who turned out to be a Water Clone.

Kakashi, Obito, and Nagato confronted Zabuza and Haku, joined them against Gato, and began preparing to connect their world to the Empire. Naruto learned the truth about his parents before Minato intervened, while Danzo moved against him and challenged Hiruzen’s leadership.

• Kakashi defeated Zabuza’s swordsmanship, but Haku and Zabuza tried to escape before Obito exposed their deception and learned they had been hired by Gato.
• Zabuza explained the Bloody Mist’s persecution of Kekkei Genkai users and refused Kakashi’s offer to join the Empire, so Obito persuaded Kakashi to keep him and Haku alive.
• Nagato told Jiraiya about the Empire’s conquest and urged the Hidden Leaf Village to surrender, while Jiraiya returned to warn the Third Hokage.
• Nagato reached the Land of Waves and helped Kakashi and Obito confront Gato’s men, while Naruto joined Zabuza in the fight and the Empire gained the Land of Waves as an ally.
• Nagato built a bridge for the people of the Land of Waves and told Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke how villages captured and sealed Tailed Beasts in Jinchuriki.
• Nagato entered Naruto’s sealing space and offered the Nine-Tails freedom in exchange for its help, but Minato appeared, resealed the beast, and revealed himself as Naruto’s father.
• Danzo showed Hiruzen reports about the parallel-world intruders and Naruto’s seal, revealed that Root had sent an elite team after Naruto, and hinted that Hiruzen should yield the Hokage position.

Nagato and his allies seized the Hidden Sand’s resources and opened a channel between worlds, bringing Naruto and the others into the Empire. The channel then sent Empire newcomers into World 64, where the two groups began preparing to pursue their goals.

• Nagato extracted the Nine-Tails from Naruto, and Naruto resolved to join the Empire after learning the truth about his parents.
• Danzo trapped Nagato, Kakashi, Obito, Sasuke, and Naruto in a Five Red Sun Sealing Barrier, but Nagato destroyed it and defeated Danzo’s forces.
• Danzo died after using Izanagi and activating the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing, and Nagato took his corpse for the Two-World Transmission Channel.
• Nagato and his allies reached the Hidden Sand Village, where Kakashi defeated its defenders and Chiyo surrendered to prevent further deaths.
• Nagato, Obito, Kakashi, and Orochimaru gathered the Hidden Sand’s resources and powered the Cross-Dimensional Channel with chakra from the Nine-Tails and the shinobi.
• Naruto and the others crossed into the Empire, where Naruto met his alternate self and learned that the Third Hokage was Emperor.
• Gaara, Kankuro, Rasa, Chiyo, Uchiha Setsuna, and Konoha rookies crossed into World 64, and Naruto used the Flying Thunder God Technique to rescue Sasuke and the others as the channel collapsed.
• Nagato headed for the Hidden Cloud Village, Obito told Uchiha Setsuna that Itachi had killed his clan, and Sasuke cast genjutsu on Sakura.

Visitors from World 64 encountered their counterparts in the Empire, while Sasuke and Naruto found family and belonging they had lost at home. Chiyo chose to serve the Empire, as the visitors continued exploring the Hidden Leaf and preparing for the Chunin Exams.

• Yakushi Kabuto led the World 64 visitors out of the experimental grounds, where Chiyo recognized Sasori and others cried out for their loved ones.
• Chiyo learned that this world's Sasori had defected after killing the Third Kazekage, and she grieved for the family her counterpart had lost.
• Rasa began restoring the Hidden Sand and ordered Obito to gather food and Water Release ninjas, while Obito first refused and then agreed after his wristband vibrated.
• Itachi welcomed Sasuke to the Uchiha settlement, where Mikoto, Shisui, and Fugaku received him and helped him celebrate his birthday.
• Naruto met Kushina and Minato, told them about his lonely childhood and the Nine-Tails, and was welcomed as their son.
• Sasuke registered with the Uchiha Clan and received an identity bracelet, legal information, clan techniques, and other benefits.
• After seeing the Empire's prosperity and the Hidden Sand's hardship, Chiyo decided to join the Empire Vanguard and persuade her village to follow.
• Sasuke attacked a restaurant owner who tried to strike him, while Naruto and Kakashi explored the Hidden Leaf and Naruto brought Ino to meet her counterpart.
