Background / History

Xiao Wu was originally a Soft Bone Rabbit of the Star Dou Great Forest. Wen Xuan was an abandoned infant taken in by her mother, and the two grew up together as childhood sweethearts. When Bibi Dong hunted and absorbed Xiao Wu’s mother, Xiao Wu and Wen Xuan could only witness it from a distance. The loss left Xiao Wu with deep hostility toward the Martial Soul Hall and human hunters of soul beasts. 1

She and Wen Xuan later entered the human world and rested in Blue Silver Village. To conceal their origins, Wen Xuan presented them as orphaned siblings. Xiao Wu underwent a ceremonial Martial Soul awakening despite already possessing her power as a transformed soul beast. 2 3

A Form Transformation Pill later erased Xiao Wu’s soul-beast aura, reducing the danger that her true identity would be exposed among humans. 10

At Luoding City Junior Soul Master Academy, Xiao Wu remained close to Wen Xuan and acquired a reputation as the academy’s “Big Sister.” She defeated Xiao Chenyu’s group and made them her underlings, while frequently targeting Tang San and the work-study students. 15

Personality

Xiao Wu is proud, outspoken, and intensely protective of those she considers her own. She reacts with anger to the sight of hunted rabbits and soul-beast products, and she remains motivated by resentment over her mother’s death. 1 4

Around strangers—particularly men other than Wen Xuan—she is confrontational and quick to threaten violence. Her behavior toward Tang San is especially hostile; she dismisses his attention, insults him, and refuses to entertain his attempts at closeness. 15

Despite her aggressive public persona, Xiao Wu is affectionate and emotionally dependent on Wen Xuan.
