Hua Zhen had spent a full sixteen years at the Great Attractor. If he had not gained something substantial, there was no way he would have returned to the West. He had found the "Void Particles," an essential material for researching the Sub-Biological Engine, and had broken through the layers of defenses set up by the Mecha Guardians to seize control of them.
Was it really that simple? Of course not.
Hua Zhen had roughly figured out the purpose of those tower-like structures within the Great Attractor. First, they provided the energy needed for the Great Attractor to pull galaxy clusters into the Pangu Star System, with the Super Star inside serving as their energy source. Second, the shutter-like devices on either side of the Tower Pillars helped Pangu's scientific practitioners carry out spatial jump transportation.
The Void Particles were not inside them. Instead, Pangu's scientists had sealed them away on an extremely tiny celestial body very close to the Super Star. Hua Zhen had not noticed it at the time; the Unknown Voice told him about it afterward.
Honestly, Hua Zhen was grateful to the owner of that Unknown Voice. Without its help, he would never have obtained the Void Particles. From time to time, there were also garbled sounds. According to its explanation, those were events that had already happened, and even it could not alter them.
The deeper one went into the Great Attractor, the fewer Mecha Guardians there were, but their grades grew increasingly higher. Even now, Hua Zhen broke out in cold sweats whenever he thought of the two blue-and-white mechas he had seen at the end...
